I kind of forgot *turns over Harry Potter calendar*I reckon the proposal will happen either last week of May or sometime during the first week or so of June, to fit with the alleged filming dates.

I think this thread has made me a much more enlightened person, I am not a judgemental person anyway, but this thread has proved to me in a very powerful way that you truly shouldn't pre-judge someone from their age, background, religion, nationality or anything else. I think getting to know someone on here, and then finding out about them backwards, as it were, is a very fascinating thing.
There is a lot of negativity talked about online relationships and it is a scary and often bullying place, but it's nice we've been able to be the exception to the rule. All of the externals that go to make up formulating an opinion of a human being are removed on here, so they are not influencing anything.
Also, I think it is slowly revealed over time, that because of our attitudes to the storyline, we find we share the same values of tolerance and respecting differences and that is what makes the thread work - it's the nature of most Chryedians that causes the thread to work, the very nature of the type of people that become Chryed fans is one of the factors that has enabled the thread to keep going.

It's so exciting to think it could be soon. I have a feeling it IS going to be driven by the adoption, a bit, if that scene is first. But, as got my positive hat on, I don't think this means it is necessarily unromantic. Would be nice if Christian said he'd always wanted to ask Syed for ages, and this has made him brave enough, as he always felt the time wasn't right. Or scared he would turn him down. Often there has to be a real life catalyst to push someone, I think nearly losing Syed in the ABRC and then talk of adoption too - these two combined will be the push.
Be nice if he mentions he was worried Syed might lose his family over it too, be nice to counteract the scenes of Thursday and show that he has thought about it all in great detail. I am excited!!
And now despite everything I said earlier, now I know about the adoption visit and Syed telling his parents they must accept Christian, it would make no sense for him to say no, so I think it will be a yes.

I agree, I think it's likely to be driven by the adoption too, but I definitely don't think it'll be unromantic. I don't think it's going to be like Christian wanting to marry Syed just to give them a better chance of adopting. I think he'll propose cos he wants to show that level of commitment and love to Syed. Ideally, I'd like it to come across that Christian's been thinking of proposing ever since the ABRC, but it's the adoption that gives him the final push he needs. It would be lovely if it is something that Christian's been thinking about for a while but has been waiting for the right time. I'd still like Syed to initially say no though
Partly out of shock and partly cos it's not something he's ever considered before. And then maybe he could confide in Tamwar and Tanya and talking to them about it makes him realise that he does want to marry Christian. So then he goes home and makes a proposal of his own So we effectively get two proposals!
