I know, it's shocking!! The Americans seem to be really into it, I saw one earlier who said that after Diana died she realised life was too short and she had to be here when William got married
I do like Kate, she seems relatively 'normal', she was shopping in Warehouse for her honeymoon outfits, although I read on the DM website that she shouldn't be shopping on the high street because it makes her less classy Also on the DM website was the headline: 'Kate spends her last night as a commoner'

On topic: I'm sure Chryed will be having a duvet day tomorrow instead of watching the Royal Wedding They might dress up though, play a game of King & King
Bib: Wearing just robes and crowns?
/mumbles something about scepters..

I still like to think of them joining in the frivolity a bit. A sunny community frolic.

And love in the air - and thoughts of weddings etc...

And I'd LOVE to hear the comments about the dresses.

Because we've all paid for it with our taxes? I'll probably end up watching it just to get my money's worth:sleep:
I know you'll think I'm bonkers, but I'll be glued to it, so glad that William actually loves his bride and vice versa, and feeling sad that Diana's not there to see her first born get married..... And don't even get me started on who I blame for that!!!!

That's so good of you!
But you mustn't go to all that trouble, they can stay at mine:sleep:
They are going to have to be on the run for a while - so they will have to keep moving - I am sure they can get round us all!

It's one thing feeling like you can't escape it figuratively, it's another to be forced literally towards it by your [nasty] employer. I work a few mins away from the mayhem and I'm expecting it'll be nigh on impossible to even get there. Why do I have to work on a bank holiday?
Awww... pear, sorry to hear that... not great Stupid employers!

2 billion?

That's two thirds of the population

I think England will tune in but the rest won't give a shit. Why should they? Then again, I couldn't give a rats arse either.

On a funnier note, they just described Kate as middle-class who is going to become a princess. Yeah middle-class when one dress of hers costs 20K. Don't make me laugh. Upper-class. Kate comes across as a nice lass but she's no Cinders.
Sorry, but I just have to say, as a "foreigner" I'm really intrigued by this "class" thing.... I remember conversations years ago with young British colleagues in their 20s, discussing which "class" they belonged to... It's something that had never even occurred to me, we don't have that sort of thing, and I fell over backwards, because I never realized it was still something that was "alive" in Britain... I really don't care who belongs to what... but it's just an interesting thing that even young people make that distinction...
/ignore me

Yes I think the script peak meant the scene wasn't what some people hoped for which is a shame because actually anyway it was simply a gorgeous scene.

They both look soooo happy and loved up.
The first scene was pretty lovely...the script peek being cut/edited was actually the least of my issues with tonight's episode. As nice as it would have to have the 'beautiful' line (esp after being teased about it for weeks), there were plenty of other problems between short scenes, and bad dialogue.

They'll probably fiddle with each other's rings and then Christian will take Syed up the aisle.

i haven't read any episode reaction but I think I've decided that christian's line to fatboy was that his dreams have come true but suddenly, with godzilla back talking to syed about things, he's really worried syed will be taken away from him again.

I'm hoping this anyway, because if we get any dialogue coming up with that fear, which I think is pretty legitimate (to a degree... he's more worried about a type of brainwashing rather than a doubting of the love syed has for him) then it may lead to why Syed says to his parents next week that a reconciliation needs to include Christian.

hopefully it'll all make sense by then!

Hiya love Yeah, we'll have to agree to disagree on this one Don't get me wrong, I have no ill will towards them personally, I just think the amount of money we spend on them is obscene, particularly when schools, hospitals and other essential services are having their budgets slashed left, right and centre But anyway, I'll climb off my soapbox now At least I've got the day off work

Your post has reminded me of William saying, in his engagement interview about Kate, that he 'took her up somewhere nice'

It's a day I don't work anyway - and I'm getting a day off in lieu too

And Alfie did invite them to the party...guess they must find something better to do instead

Shame for us, not so much for them.
