Although I should try to tidy the house later.

Don't know why, but the other day ..thought it was interesting after all these months Mas bumped into Christian and said ..'How are you?' ...Random..or foreshowing???”
Just wanted to add to all the discussions of last night, I too have a gut feeling that once Mas does reach rock bottom, it might be Chryed or Christian in particular who may be the one he has to turn to.

I'm presuming he did by his "He's not...." comment to Zainab, it's obviously been a problem before and I think it will only get worse I don't think Masood will have learnt from losing all the money on Thursday and I think now that he's awoken that addiction within him then he'll start doing it again, which will only make it harder to pay Yusef back
I really hope that Masood's failing are brought up too! It's so unfair that he's always preached to Syed about being a good Muslim when imo he's far worse than Syed”
I think Syed's comment definitely meant he was wondering if his father was gambling again, I think Zainab dismissed it because she couldn't face it.
If you think back to the row about Masood's gambling, I'm sure it was mentioned that Tam had just been born, when the problem was so severe that they nearly lost the house, so Syed would have been 5 or 6 at the time, he may remember some of the rows. Good point about the addiction being awoken. I thought Nitin acted it all so well, I loved all the scenes, in a cringe watch behind your fingers way of course!
The way his eyes were shining when he said 'I need to win again' - sent shivers down my spine. I wonder if Jane will feel guilty for encouraging him, she obviously realised it had got out of hand because she put the phone down on him.

I wonder whether Masood still sees Christian as a 'predator' or whether he's more accepting of him now? Plenty of stuff to be explored!”
It would indeed! I do think at the moment Syed clearly doesn't trust Yusef at all. I think they will be appalled by what Masood has done, but it all depends what circumstances have happened prior and how much Yusef has pushed things.
I think Masood, once he does come around to things, if he does, - it's always been my gut feeling that he will then accept Chryed as a couple - Zainab is the one, IMO, who will struggle with this for longer. I think with Masood it is an issue of control and respect, but the person who bears the most similarity to Masood is actually Christian, being the in the 'other man' position and in love with someone who was married. Crucial difference though, Syed wasn't married when they fell in love, and Christian tried so hard to stop him marrying Amira. Zainab was already married, so to me, you could argue that it should have been easier for Masood to walk away - and yet he still couldn't.

It would be ironic if he turned to Christian - but not that surprising, they were friendly to some extent before Masood knew about Syed and he would be more likely to confide in Christian than to confess to either of his sons - without Jane who else is he going to turn to?”
I agree, I think there will be a direct comparison at some stage, that Masood is going to be forced to look at.
BIB 2 - I think Jane leaving is going to knock him for six, for the first time in ages I didn't mind their scenes together on Thursday. She really didn't understand what she was dealing with. I think he will devastated when she goes, she is his 'crutch' to some extent, and I think he will feel a tremendous sense of loss.
