Which of these has the best quality screen?

I am looking at different touch screen mobile phones and I'm looking to get one that has a large screen, that is is decent quality.

Which one out of these mobile phones?

HTC Desire HD
HTC Desire S
HTC Incredible S
LG Optimus 2X
Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc
Samsung Galaxy S2

I would like a bright and clear screen that is easy to see and responsive when texting, using the internet and email.

Would it been possible to get any of these on a contract of £30 p/m free or not a big upfront cost.

18 Month contract would be better.

My tariff would be not more than.

100 - 300 minutes
250 - 500 texts
500MB internet

Thanks in advance.

I've been reading up a lot on mobile phones the last few days because I'm looking to get one (torn between the Galaxy S2, HTC Sensation or iPhone 5 whenever it comes out).

The Galaxy S2 is having rave reviews about its screen, and apparently fits the bill of "bright and clear, easy to see and responsive", so out of those options, I'd recommend that. It's not too expensive either, should be free or a low handset cost on a £30p/m contract.

My brother has the Desire HD and it has a fantastic screen also. I'm yet to see a Galaxy S2 in person (soon though), so can't really compare the two on experience. And of course, despite not being in your list, the iPhone 4 is touted to have the best screen to date (although now rivalled by the S2, despite the S2 having a slightly lower resolution).

The X2 has an iPhone type IPS screen but bigger so more usable at the cost of bulk.
The S2's next generation screen is even bigger, and possibly costs more to manufacturer than do compete phones by others.

There will be the usual queue of people telling you their screen is best so best get what suits you.
