Really? I can't see how he was selfish and a prick. He was a prick to James in the club but other than that I didn't really see what the problem was. Could you give me examples of what made you change your opinion about him?
Mainly the aforementioned club incident. He promises his friend that for one single night in his life he'll spend time having a laugh with him because he's feeling left out, and won't concentrate solely on pulling girls (not even stretching himself to the whole night off, just until "the last minute") but he can't even manage that? Seemed selfish to me.
Pretty much this. He promised his mate he wouldn't pull until the last minute (don't know why he even needs to do that, can he not just not pull for one night to help out a friend who is quite obviously down in the dumps?) Then he went ahead and pulled basically straight away and when he was called out on it he stamped his feet and got on like a spoilt child who always gets his own way. He also rolled out the old, "I'm a single lad, what do you want me to do?" line which he loves. Not withstanding you breaking a promise to a friend which you made about 30 seconds ago, normal "single lads" don't actually get on the way you do. Yes, they love girls and pulling and all the rest of it, but it isn't their sole purpose in life.

That said, Charlotte getting (or trying to get) everyone else to gang up on Gary was pretty pathetic. Quite clearly the whole affair with him has scarred her a bit and she wants everyone else to feel the same.

Still got a lot of time for Scotty T for some reason. I find him absolutely hilarious. However, he's definitely going down the Gaz route and could become exceptionally annoying as time goes on. Especially if the "next week" clip at the end of this weeks show is anything to go by.

Could you imagine Gaz going out of his way and making an effort for a friend if it meant he'd have to sacrifice pulling? Nope. That episode just highlighted how selfish he is. He didn't get the point at all, he just thought they were angry about him pulling every night and probably thought they were jealous because they aren't getting as much sex/attention as he does

I didn't see it as Charlotte getting everyone to have a go. I think it's been building up for a while - they can't ever not go and pull, they don't involve themselves in anything, they're very selfish.

Gary has been getting the utter kn*b edit this series. Also Charlotte has been getting a terrible edit too.

Reading what I've seen on twitter from the girls in particular (and Scotty T to an extent), a lot of really good footage has been left out so it can focus on Scott pulling. And Gaz pulling. And Scott pulling. And then Gaz pulling. Even Scott has been saying they're missing out funny house moments that would have definitely made other series.

I've not enjoyed it this series. It feels like it needs a shake up. Gaz has become utterly unlikeable, believing his own hype. I think Sophie has had her time, but I like the dynamic Joel brings. James is just boring. He used to be hilarious but the b*stard edit he got last series has tarnished him - he was so out of order how he and his gf behaved to Holly, yet acted all damaged like he was the victim.

II do think though that the show can't exist without Gary, Charlotte, Holly, Vicky and Scott. They need another girl in, one that Vicky won't dominate over like with Becca. And 2 lads. Ones that will give Gaz and Scott a run for their money but won't stand for being trodden on like Dan was.

And it needs the old producers back. The new one for Australia has killed what was a hilarious show.

Just to add Charlotte in particular has been very vocal about the edit and the producers. They're all deleted tweets now, but she's not happy with how they've edited her or how they'd lead her on with various questions to make her cry etc so they can use all that footage, and none of the footage where she's been having a laugh.

They all said they had the best time filming in Australia - I've yet to see any of that yet really.

I do understand Charlotte complaining about the editing, she has been a major bore this series. Although I do believe that she has changed, become more reserved and not being full of life as before, probably because she was so home sick which by the way is really doing my head in! I can't take it anymore, her banging on about how much she misses Mitch. Go home if you miss him that much! Vicky, Sophie and Gaz have all said that Charlotte has changed and she's become boring so I wouldn't blame it all on editing.

Her relationship with Gaz was 50% of the show and most of her funny moments were with him so her avoiding him now and being against him (which is also what James did to Holly just so they can prove a point to their boyfriend/girlfriend ) is what I think is the biggest reason why she's so boring now.

Is it as bad as series 6? I've got it on record but not watched it yet.

I watched series 1 and 2 recently. Didn't realise how much of a bully Vicky was. Or how awful they all were to Holly in series 1.

They've got it wrong with 5 girls though for this series. A new boy is desperately needed. So far all I've seen of the new girl is going on and on about how the girls are all horrible and mean to her.

it was ok, Marni is pretty but a bit thick. I still love Vicky and her attitude (not the bullying - tbh I didn't see that, I saw her sticking up for herself, except the spitting - yuk) and tbh she reminds me of me a little (the whole disliking people in general and being a sweet girl under that attitude)

but next year they'll be down sophie, and probably holly and vicky anyway so will need Marni and probably some other girls too.

They'll be Sophie-less before this series is out.

Sophie got fired for being racist

Marni is so fit! But, I don't like her personality at all

Good start to the series, Scotty T still annoys me

I don't think Holly and Vicky would leave unless they had something guaranteed to go into. Same with Charlotte. Though I'd give Charlotte her own show, I think she's so funny.

I get your point about Vicky. I think what was annoying me was that it appeared to be one thing for her, but another thing for everyone else. And it felt a lot like the tears were turned on for attention and not genuine.

But they all were horrific to Holly. I'm surprised she came back.

I do think the show can't continue without Gary, Scott, Charlotte, Holly and Vicky.

I know why got fired,it she's confirmed on instrpagram she's in series 7 as filming had finished.

Holly (and iirc vicky) were involved in a bar fight and rumours are that they have been fires too (not sure this has been confirmed)

I don't think Sophie will be much of a loss, she's a bit of a wet rag like James but vicky will be a big loss.

She's also said on Twitter that she hasn't been axed and isn't being replaced by her cousin, but MTV put out a more recent statement denying both of those claims, and saying she was removed from the "current production" of series 7. So the general consensus from that is she doesn't make the full series.

Can't stand Sophie at all, such a miserable bore and sticks too much to the shite 'Mother Hen' role. She adds **** all. Give it 2 episodes before she starts crying over missing Joel and then he comes back. Banning him from having fun at the same time also. Completely empty vessel.

James being in the house is pointless he adds absolutely nothing.
Loved last nights episode, it feels like a return to top form. I'm gonna blank out series 6 and pretend it didn't happen, it was awful, so dull and boring.

I have a feeling that if this isn't the last series then there will be only one more series and they will call time on Geordie Shore.

Totally agree...Sophie has bored me for a long time. Joel's really annoying me too (always had to be honest). To me it just looks like he's a total wannabe Geordie Shore housemate. Every series now he's there for a significant amount of time. He was in Australia for basically the whole time. Take a look at his website about page too (http://www.joelcorry.com/about.php) where he mentions that his exposure on Geordie Shore has helped his DJ career take off. Can't help but think he's using his relationship with Sophie as a way to progress his own career. Maybe I'm cynical.

I reckon we're close to the end now too. They're squeezing out the series' as quick as they possibly can, I guess to make the most of it while it's still popular. Series 6 in Australia was absolute turd and I said to myself afterwards that if the first episode of Series 7 is similar then I'll stop watching. Happily, though, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Still have a bit of a soft spot for James for some reason. Even though he's clearly really quite boring now.

I don't understand why Joel appears in the show and gets paid so. He is not part of the cast yet he is- he is a Z list celebrity and gets paid for PAs. We do not have Mitch or Kate in the house so why should he be any different.
