The Disappointed is also one of my fave XTC songs. The others I like are Making Plans for Nigel, Generals & Majors and Seargeant Rock is Gonna Help Me.

"King For A Day" is another XTC classic.
"Fossil Fuel" the XTC singles compilation should be in everyone's music collection IMHO. It really is that good. |

Partridge suffered from extreme stage fright and had a breakdown because of it. Shame really as they were a fantastic, intelligent band.

From my hometown XTC really were a fantastic intelligent pop band.
I'd recommend the 2CD Fossil Fuel (Virgin Singles 1978-1993 collection) compilation to anyone. |

My friend got me into XTC a few years ago and was staggered by just how good they were.
Wrapped in Grey is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VNvWWJ6YAOI Also love This World Over: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b1aQ9JMPQjY Ball and Chain: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=26lTdJdFA_Y Paper and Iron (Notes and Coins): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g3NHRhRw8hY As a few people have commented on youtube, love the drumming on the last two tracks. |

Last I heard of XTC were 2 albums around 1999 - 2000, Apple Venus Vol 1 & 2 (Wasp Star).
I thought these were as good as all their earlier stuff. |
