I bought a new Samsung 46" LED TV, the product number is UE46C6000, connectivity are,

4 x HDMi
1 x SCART
1 x Component
1 x Composite
1 x VGA (PC input)
1 x PC Audio In (Mini Jack)
1 x Stereo jack
2 x USB 2.0
1 x Ethernet
1 x CI Slot
1 x RF in

How could I connect my Turtle Beach XLC headset to TV so when I watch TV the sound will come out from TV speakers not the headset

Why would you want to connect the headset to the TV but not have the sound from the headset? Does that not sort of defeat the object of connecting the two in the first place?

I don't think you have understood the question, my question is,

When I plug my Turtle Beach XLC into my LED TV headphone jack port, the Turtle Beach XLC works with the Xbox 360 but when I want to watch TV, the sound comes from the headset not from TV speakers, I want the sound to come through TV speakers when I am watching TV

How can anyone understand a question you didn't ask?

Anyway. What is happening is how headphone sockets are meant to work. If you plug a pair of headphones into a device with built in speakers then it is assumed that you want to hear the sound only on the headphones. Therefore the action of plugging the headphones in mutes the internal speakers of the device.

There are exceptions to that but in the main that is how it works. So if you want to listen on the TV's speakers you have to unplug the headphones.

The only alternative connection would be to find an audio output on the TV that you can connect to an external amplifier to drive the headphones. You don't list any audio output, either analogue or digital, but one may be available on the SCART. Whether you would get audio from any device connected to the TV or just it's tuner depends on what set up options are available.

But assuming an audio output is available and relays what would appear on the speakers then you could use that to drive the headset with the TV speakers muted. Then unmute the speakers when you don't want to use the headset.

Otherwise as I said above, the alternative is just to unplug the headset to use the TV speakers.

I will take a picture of the components that is behind my TV later on but unplugging the headphone jack everytime I want to watch TV, it will damage the port

does your 360 not have a RCA Phono adaptor like this

http://www.amazon.co.uk/XBOX-HDMI-CA.../dp/B003Q958RW

,thats how i connect my X1's to it,that way the sound only comes through the headset when your using the 360 the rest of the time they do nothing

or if its not a HDMI model,do you not use the RCA passthrough

I used to use my Turtle Beach XLC headset on my LCD TV that has more ports at the back of the TV, I connected up with Turtle Beach RCA cable,

http://lulzimg.com/i20/7f10c2.jpg

And plugged the RCA at the back of TV and plug the Turtle Beach XLC plug into the RCA port and it worked but now I have LCD that has less ports at the back of TV

The Samsung UE46C6000 does not have any analogue audio out other than the headphones. Or at least that is the only option mentioned in the manual I have just been reading online.

It does have a digital output. Which could be connected to either a digital to analogue converter unit or an amplifier with optical input. Either of which could be used t drive the headset.

But those are the only options on the TV. So perhaps if the headset is only for use with the xbox maybe there is a way to plug the headset directly to the xbox instead?

If I use the Optical RCA Adapter, do I plug in the HDMI cable and the Optical RCA Adapter? and will I still be able to play Xbox 360 games at 1920x1080?

Not the greatest picture i've ever seen

Anyway found this on the Xbox suport website

http://support.xbox.com/en-us/pages/...nd-system.aspx

Shows how you can connect both TV and audio system at the same time to the xbox. Which not being an xbox owner I wasn't entirely sure if or how that could be done. But does seem to solve the problem?

You do not plug both HDMI and optical between xbox and TV. The optical connection won't work anyway as both ends are outputs so cannot be connected together anyway.

If you use the analogue audio adapter plugged directly into the xbox as shown in the xbox website link then you can plug the headset directly to the xbox and mute the TV speakers when playing games.

Then just unmute the TV for watching telly or anything else.

By the way the audio adapter does not affect the HDMI connection to the telly. They are completely separate.

K, just to clear things up a little bit, I plug the HDMI cable from TV to Xbox 360 and the Optical RCA Adapter to Xbox 360 and Turtle Beach XLC plugs into the Optical RCA Adapter adapter

I was pressed for time(as posts dont allow to edit after a certain time)and my camera on my phones flash wouldn't work as my battery was almost dead, but it shows exactly what that webpage says the analogue RCA connectors on the turtle beach connect to the red white connectors on the Optical RCA Adapter adapter

K, so the Turtle Beach XLC problem is now solved, but I have one more question, I have a Nintendo Wii but the cable plug are Red/Yellow/White, how would I connect these to the LED TV? would I need a adapter?

you should have had a Compsite to scart adaptor in the box when you bought the wii,if your AV in is already in use,use the scart adaptor to use the scart on the back of the TV

if the AV in is still empty just plug the Red Yellow White leads into the Red Yellow White ports on the back of the TV

AV IN is The Composite Where it says that on the image, that's where you connect the yellow(Video) and the red(R) and white(L) into the audio

I just looked behind the LED TV and there's only 2 ports as it shows on the picture, I need the adapter but which one do I need? In the manual booklet it says something about AV adapter and Component adapter
