He seems to be mentioned quite a lot, as someone who's on the show tomorrow, but he doesn't seem to have a surname.

Anyone know?
He's called Ronan Parke. It's on the ITV website in the Britain's Got Talent section.

I could not disagree more. Ronan completely blows them out of the water. I didn't care for them university lads at all. Their voices weren't good at all, in my opinion. I'd MUCH rather listen to Ronan any day.

The audience's reactions reminded me of Susan Boyle's appearance. Laughing and dismissive at the start but on their feet and applauding madly at the end.

Someone has posted his performance on YouTube.

I don't see that the audience were laughing or dismissive. They seemed to be taken by how cute he was before he even opened his mouth.

with some coaching and some clever marketing, he'll be the British Bieber - oh god I cringe at the thought

After listening to Justin Beiber singing on You Tube just now, I can confidently say that I think Ronan's quite a bit better than him. Beiber's voice is less pure sounding than Ronan's. Beiber's voice is also a bit screechy as well. Ronan's got a GREAT voice on him. I'm so glad that I decided to listen to his full performance on You Tube. I wish he'd have sang a more challenging song though.
