Sort of spoiler, but maybe, maybe not... It's about River, and who she killed...

Spoiler
If River IS Amy's daughter, that would make Rory her father, because she hasn't had sex with the Doctor (I think...), and I'm not sure that The Silents are causing the sickness.
Well, if River killed the "greatest man she ever knew" (or something along those lines) maybe she killed Rory?
Because being his daughter, she might think that he is the greatest man....
And can we classify the Doctor as a man?

Sorry, long post!”

This makes sense. just before river and rory got in the tardis tonight, she said i hope my old fella didnt see that, he gets terribly cross. At first i though she was referring to the doctor as he would hate her killing things. BUT! "my old fella" is a term you use for your dad and i think she was talking to rory!

how terribly exciting.

I definitely think there is mileage in River being Amy & Rory's daughter and her description of killing the best man she ever knew could very easily refer to her father BUT then aren't her various pursuits escaping and returning to prison, huge amount of guards etc. over the top for the killing of one man?

All that aside, there is definitely some very strong connection between Amy & River; the way they both reacted with their nausea to The Silents was almost identical, more like they were somehow linked.

It seems a bit odd that River refers to the Doctor dropping out of the sky, and Amy later refers to Rory doing the same.

I see two timelines in play.

One where Amy is carrying River (happily ever after scenario) the other where the slients removed the embryo on one of Amy's encounters with them, transferred it to the incubator/ spacesuit and advanced it's age to the point where they could plug her into their Tardis as a pilot.

This experiment went wrong, the Silents Tardis and pilot separated leaving River as a child (in the suit) in Utah in 2011, but the Tardis on the other side of the world.

Future Doctor tracks down suited River, then with Amy, Rory & adult River as witnesses hands over his regenerative abilities to allow the young River to escape the suit without dying.

Young River then takes Future Doctor's Tardis back to 1969 to try and free Amy from the silents before they steal the embryo.

She can't yet pilot the Tardis so this doesn't go well (suit defaults to "Take me to your leader" mode) but eventually she escapes the suit and wanders around for 9 months. She's now at the point where she should have been born, so regenerates into Alex Kingston

Young Doctor then meets and marries River, not knowing when he does that she has killed him already. When he finds out he does the noble thing and crosses his own timeline to hand over his powers (thus ends episode 7)

Second half of the season focuses on the travels of River Song as she looks for the MacGuffin which will allow the happily ever after scenario, and once that switch has been pulled Amy will once again be pregnant

I think that in the finale, there will be a choice between two "timelines".

1. Amy and Rory keep the baby, but the doctor dies.
2. Amy and Rory give up the baby, the doctor lives.

This would be made even more difficult if the baby was actually River.

I have a feeling that the young girl we saw at the end is River, simply because if that young girl kills the doctor, then it fulfils the mysteries about Rivers' past. However, more than that, it makes it easier on the production team if River can regenerate, because if we are going to be getting nearer to Rivers youth in future seasons, it wouldn't be easy to make Alex Kingston look like a teenager in 5 years time. Of course, different actors could be used, but it would solve a few logistical issues if River could regenerate.

Thanks for all of the welcomes

I do think the "old-fella" line had some significance. Especially as Rory was stood there, and not the Doctor or even Amy. And, thinking about it, is there a father that would happily watch their child shooting and things, and give them a gun? (Even if they were monsters :P...)

If Amy is pregnant, then I'm guessing it's Rory's, she's pretty much been declaring her love for him in all of the last episode...

But the little girl? I honestly have no clue. I'll see what other mental theories pop into my head at 4am!

(Also redshadow77. Wow, that was an epic post!!)
