Wasn't it a bit of a let down that the build up to 'Silence Will Fall' ends in a two episode series starter?

Does anyone thing that the fall of the Silence will have more serious repercussions?

And why would prisoner zero, or the voice in the tardis (still unsure if the voice IS prisoner zero?) make a point of the silence falling?

Why would it be important to them? Important enough to tell the doctor?
And why did literal silence fall over Venice if they're simply monsters.

SO MANY QUESTIONS, so few answers

I very much doubt that is the last we will see of the silents. More questions than answers.

That would have made for a very disappointing conclusion to that plot thread...after such a wait as well. But we still don't know who caused the TARDIS to explode last year

We saw a Silence in 2011 by the lake remember, so they sure as hell didn't all get killed in 1969. They'll be back alright.

The Silent itself said that silence will fall. So they have a bigger plan up their sleeves. What were they directing human history for? Why did they need a life support system/trap for the little girl?

The Silence were in that scene, we just "Forgot".

People are assuming that 'silence will fall' means what this episode showed to happen, the silence falling from grace and being wiped out, but the Silent said to the doctor in a triumphant kind of way 'Silence will fall'
'Will fall', future tense, so it hasn't happened yet?
Then what does it mean?

+ Who knows about that.
And of course assuming the girl in the space suit and the one in the end scene are the same, how can a plain human regenerate? I mean River made a point of the suit being suited for human life particularly

And are The Silence the Big Bad? Often in DW there is another Bad behind the obvious ones? Maybe The Silence are manipulating the human race for a purpose that involves another enemy?

The Silent talking to Amy when she was locked in the chair said "We honour you - you will bring the Silence". Which may be related.

Surely the little girl is the big bad who was controlling the Silents?

I'm presuming the Big Bad is the owner of the unidentified voice in the season finale.

Maybe the little girl's a heavy smoker.

It might have been that

Amy is the mother of the little girl with the regenerative TL abilities. Maybe they need the little girl to operate their Tardis so they can go back in time and redo history or summat like that. Because Amy is the mother of the child who will help save them they honour her. That's one of the many theories I have LOL!

I still think it is ambivalent what Silence Will Fall means. Fall as in literally from the sky, the fall of a great race or something else.

What if 'silence will fall' is only a prophecy that the big bad stuff will follow. LIke it has to happen and then the tardis will explode and the universe with crack etc..And how does everyone know about the silence apart from the doctor? :S i understand about the alliance and pandorica was covered up by all the aliens but if prisoner zero, the vampire thingies and the silence themselves know then how doesnt the doctor? ohhh and in the last finale has the doctor stopped the cracks? because he never found out who was controlling the tardis...

Someone suggested yesterday that maybe the doctor somehow created the silence or has something to do with it like he created that evil dream lord. Maybe he realises this and knows he has to die in order for the silence to die. I mean the silence are all over time and the doctor has been too so maybe he has accidentally been spreading them? It's a theory anyway...
