Blue will be releasing their new single at midnight.
'I Can' is also the UK's eurovision entry in two weeks and is a hot favourite to win!

What do you think of the song? And where do you think it will chart next Sunday??

I hope it gets top 10 so I'm going to say No.7 but I hope it gets more

Not sure it'll chart that well. Minimum exposure - shame, it's a decent song. Might scrape Top 40.

I think it's had quite abit of exposure tbf. It's on all the time on the music channels and Blue was on So You Think You Can Dance? tonight, Paul O'Grady last night and have more TV shows lined up this week eg: Daybreak and Loose Women so i'll be suprised if it fails to chart with all that promotion

Well it's hard absolutely no radio play (which is a shame, We get enough of 'grenade'.. id much rather hear something fresher like 'i can'.

Optimistic about eurovision though.

Yes true, it shocks me that radio 1 doesn't bother to promote the song the BBC are sending to Eurovision and the fact that two radio 1 DJ's (Sara Cox and Scott Mills) will sctually be covering the semi finals on BBC3 - it's madness lol

p.s. I'm hopeful too but the pessimist inside me doesn't hold out for much

I think it will go top 15 and a good chance of top 10, its not a bad song at all, eurovision wise i think it will go top 10 in final.

the song is ok. doesn't lee over do it with the high pitch bits towards the end of the song? yes, we remember it was your trade mark lee - don't milk it!

i would be surprised if it goes straight in the top 10.

It would be interesting to see how the song would have done if it wasnt the eurovision entry, but i guess we will never know.

Eurovision is a gamble for them but i think if the material is strong on the new album, win lose or draw it shouldnt affect their uk career after eurovision as they had a successful career first time round.

i think it unlikely they could recapture they previous success, purely based on that song. they may find themselves in my floppers thread by the end of the year!

They may very well do, i think they need a very strong song to follow up i can regardless of how eurovision goes, they have good odds for eurovision and id be surprised if they totally flop on the night

i think they will deliver the song on the night, no doubt. they do need to do a bit better with their next single.

i cant have them in my floppers thread without a couple of flop singles accompanied by a flop album! my thread of all about flop longevity!

album wise its hard to know, i know some of their old fan base will stick with them but they need to appeal to the audeince of now to avoid becoming a flop, if successful i can see them havin a boyzone style success in the UK rather than Take That.

possibly, that is still successful by anyone's standards. lets face it take that came back with patience and it set a pretty high standard. i can isn't really in that league is it?

yeah, i`m not fussed on that boyzone song. they kind of tick all the boxes for a reunion though like take that. they had a long time away. the blue members seemed to be everywhere since their split and have been talking about a reunion for over a year!

it will be interesting to see. i think that song lee did `secret love` was probably the best solo effort in my opinion.

I don't know why Simon didn't carry on with his solo career, if I remember he brought some good songs out that charted reasonably well

Probably better as most of the radio stations that aren't touching it because it's a Eurovision entry would have more likely played it.

I don't know why Simon didn't carry on with his solo career, if I remember he brought some good songs out that charted reasonably well
Because there's only so long you can get away with being such a bad solo singer before you get found out. Ultimately Simon was never going to be able to pull off a solo tour and that is where the money is these days.

Blue will be releasing their new single at midnight.
'I Can' is also the UK's eurovision entry in two weeks and is a hot favourite to win!
Most bookies have it as third favourite and a couple have it as joint second favourite with Estonia. All of them have France as favourite (unsurprising as it's such a different offering for Eurovision). Still, second or third favourite is a lot more favoured than any UK entry has been for a long time (or France for that matter).

I would actually put Sweden's chances (who are mostly fourth favourite) above the UK's and I'm surprised Hungary is so low in the betting.

I imagine it will have its peak in the charts during the week after Eurovision. So im predicting Top 20 for now, maybe a top 10 release after the finals.

Up to 20 on itunes - surprised it's doing that well actually seen as it came out last night and there is a lot of promotion and physicals left to do this week, can see it making top ten now!

It's so embarrassing that the song is called 'I Can' because when it places so low on Eurovision it'll just be a "I Can? You mean I can't! BAHAHA." joke. How embarrassing.

His last two singles 'only' made #36 and #45, so he was dropped I believe.
