think that review summed it up perfectly, answering all the little non-questions as well

Cheers, but lost me here:

'Instead of being neatly tethered down, many things are left even more up in the air than before, with the only resolution coming in the small matter of the Silence (for now, at any rate; is this really the last we’ve seen of them?) and their long-term occupation of the Earth.'

Because obviously it's not, either short-term (for the rest of the series, pre-finale) or slightly longer-term (series 6 as a whole).

Otherwise, I felt it summed up in a short piece some of the finer points of the episode quite well.

4*s though? Please! Moffat turned it up to eleven with this one (and that's on a scale of 5*s!)

I don't understand why that bit would lose you?

The reviewer is just saying that they don't think we have seen the last of the Silence.

It lost me because isn't it so obvious that we haven't seen the last of them that it doesn't even need mentioning?!

Also, there was no resolution to them here (other than just one ship full of them being shot by River).

Well the resolution was that the Doctor planted an instruction into humans that told them to kill any of The Silence that they saw. And that that message was hidden in a broadcast so commonly seen through the ages that it would cross generations. So that is certainly going to hinder them.

If they decided to end their story there we could simply assume that humanity wiped them all out.
