I'm so confused! Loads of questions left unanswered, with more twists and turns by the second . . .

And i love it!

You seem to have a mild obssession with other people's state of confusion, if you don't mind me saying so.

I am confused as to why that might be so.

I'm not confused.

But I really hope they don't try to explain Schrödinger's bloody cat at any point.

Nah its fine your right. However this doesnt really have anything to do with that as I was just going through the DotM thread and there seemed to be a split of I'm confused but I like it and I'm confused and I prefer simple A-B stories.

I was only wondering why people were soo confused after both of these episodes only when this people asked they were just mentioning things that were currently unexplained, however some were just confused

When you create it go to thread tools at the side and the bottom option is to create a poll or create a thread and choose the create a poll option below the box you use to write in. (sorry is bad instructions)

I'll admit that I was lost for most of the episode and I don't like how that makes me feel. I like complex, yes, but that just kept hitting me and left me feeling rather miserable about the episode, like I should be smarter and that I wasn't good enough in some way to watch it with all these other clearly brilliant brain trust fans.

It's the first time any show has left me feeling like this and yet last week I thought was great

There's a US series, made in 1989-1991, called Twin Peaks that all the stuff in the orphanage was fairly clearly playing homage to; I don't think people who were confused were less smart; just maybe seen/read less.

Ah, Twin Peaks, started out great and just went insane. Scared the bejeebus out of me for the most part, especially the ending.

This would appear to be a biased question, to which five of the six permissible answers are "I'm confused"...

I'm confused as heck - but due to good script writing rather than bad writing. I am confused not as to what has happened as such but I have all the questions you would expect. Who is the little girl? (though I do have a theory on that) Why is Amy quantum pregnant (my made up term for her being both pregnant and not pregnant simultaneously)? Who is River song? How is the Doctor's death going to be resolved? To name just a few of the more important questions.

Ummmm? How was that a homage to Twin Peaks?

I don't want to say confused because people particularly posters on DS seem to mistake that for being lost, not following the episode, not understanding it, or feeling alienated. Apparently all teenagers/young people watch The Only Way is Essex and are incapable of understanding intelligent tv plots.

Anyway rant over, there are still unanswered questions but it's not confusing.

And the Poll options are ridiculous. 5/6 choices for confused? Yeah not biased at all.

Umm there are 2 options for being confused and hating it, 2 options for being confused at liking it, an option forjust being confused and an option for finding it simple.

This isn't that difficult, it's just a puzzle that will be fully resolved as we learn more about the Silence. Meanwhile enjoy the ride!
