Usher is now a complete joke
Just watched a video if his and he sounded like Will.i.a with his stupid music and digitally altered voice. He needs to give up and just hide away a complete embarrassment to past decent R&B singers.

See you're a Columbo Fan, but not really a big fan of Usher, huh?

When I saw the title of the thread I thought it was in reference to what Jack Whitehall and Adele were saying about him on the Graham Norton Show, lol.
But I do agree, a complete shadow of his former self... |

I disagree. There Goes My Baby is beautiful <3 and his album is solid. Mars vs Venus, Foolin' Around, Love Em All, Making Love, She Don't Know etc are great tracks. His singles are more generic and pop, but the album is still great. Nothing he does will live up to Confessions, which is IMO, along with 8701, the most complete R&B album of all time. Having seen him on tour, where he sang live whilst dancing his arse off, I can say I was not disappointed!
And the hate because he discovered Justin Bieber is a load of crap. Justin Timberlake tried to do exactly the same, yet he doesn't get hate for it. It was a smart business decision. Usher has made a LOT of money off Bieber. Also, Bieber has given kids songs like Baby/Somebody to Love to listen to rather than songs about alcohol, sex etc. Why hate him? |

I disagree that being a joke. I haven't properly listened to his latest album but I know that it's mostly full R&B type sonngs. 'OMG' and 'More' are pop, but they don't really reflect the album. 'There Goes My Baby' is a great R&B song. However it didn't chart as good as his other songs because those type of songs don't chart well. Blame the music buying public, that's why many have gone to the dance route.
I saw him in concert this year too and he was brilliant. I'm not a massive fan as I only won one of his albums, but I was surprised at how good the concert was after some people had down it wasn't good. His dancing was great, his singing was great and I really enjoyed it. |

His shambolic 'musical' performance on X Factor last year cemented the opinion expressed in the thread title for me.

usher mixes things up and uses different producers and all he gets is grief! i liked his last few singles, i`m sure this wont be his style forever though. good on him for taking some risks! |
