Absolutely, Ronan's going to be a big star and I think Simon Cowell knows it. I hope he's already got a lawyer and manager to guide him through the record contract process. I don't believe Simon 's signed him yet, has he?

So we know Ronan has a gig at Royal Norfolk Show today, any other gigs that we know of?

Not heard what Ronan is doing since the tour finished but wonder what is happening with his schooling as he is so young.
Anyone know if he has gone back to school or being home tutored.

The schools will probably give the kids some work to go through themselves whilst on tour and they probably have time set aside where they can work. There are usually quite a few kid acts on these tours (this year there was at least Ronan, James and the kids from that singing quartet) so they might even just sit around and work together or something?

I don't think it's legal to send them off and prejudice their education, there is still a legal obligation to have an education though this doesn't always mean attending school.

Thanks Lisa, so pleased Ronan has gone back to school, he is so young and still needs a routine and structure to his life seeing his friends and keeping his feet on the ground.

No worries, i believe theyre all at home atm; I know Jai is at home enjoying himself! and hes shaved off the beard! :O but i agree i think people forget how young Ronan is; Im always a bit dubious about child stars tbh i just dont think someone that young needs a huge contract round his neck esp with SyCo; I hope the top 2 get treated correctly tbh but i worry with SyCos reputation!!

I have seriously seen some way over the top ronan fans on my journeys to tour this yr!! and theyre not 15 yr old girls but grown men!! i was quite disturbed at one where the man in question didnt get to meet Ronan (i missed jai as well haha) and he went mental!!!! this, like Jackie Evanchos situation, is why i worry at least people like Jai can look after himself

Can't see why he wouldn't. He's clearly smart and has sensible parents. Not to mention that there is no way of telling if he will have any musical career as an adult (which is why boy singers are encouraged to learn instruments in case their adult voices turn out average) so he can't rely on his voice to set him up for life.

He clearly has his head screwed on, he's 12 years old which (in the case of clever kids) is not really a small kid, at least not mentally.

Don't think Syco is any cause for concern - they just tend to release an album or two before moving on anyway, by which time he will have made a name for it and some cash just before it breaks in a year or two. Then he can move on, at about the time they would probably move him on anyway. With boys that usually happens - they get good, stay there for a couple of years then it goes. Girls can take the risk more and Simon lost out big style with Faryl Smith who signed up for a major and with a couple of years extra training and maturity improved a lot since BGT.

I'm seeing him next Sunday as part of 'Castle Hill Sunday Funday' in North Devon, can't say I'm a fan yet though.

Many Congratulations to Ronan who has been signed to Syco and Sony BMG. He is going to be a big star.
Dont think even think Jai has been signed to a record company yet.

I bet the album will be called 'Ronan Parke' but I hope it's something creative.

Ronan did an acoustic cover of Lady Gaga's Edge of Glory which was uploaded to YouTube last week, anyone watched it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q0H7ECePjmA I personally think it's fantastic and shows off his voice, proving he can sing different songs. The one that was posted on the official channel has been blocked by SME unfortunately.

Also, Ronan said this on Facebook yesterday:

"Listen up Ronan fans! On 12th September, the official video for 'Thousand Miles', the first track from Ronan's upcoming debut album 'Ronan Parke', will be unveiled! If you can't wait that long, then we also have something special arriving on Friday - it's the 'Thousand Miles' lyrics video!! Stay tuned! For now, can you tell us which US female recording artist wrote and first released the song back in 2002?"

Well it was Vanessa Carlton. Your opinions on this?
Bex.

I don't think so, well i hope not. Here's the lyric video of A Thousand Miles: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3RAGd8bh628

Fantastic song. At the end of the video it says that "Feeling Good" (his audition song), "Forget You" (which he sang at T4 on the Beach) and more would be on the album. I just hope there aren't too many covers.
Bex.

The album includes a selection of 12 classic songs which, when it is released on October 24th will highlight his remarkable way with a pop song, and remind everyone just what a natural born singer he is.

covers then

^ Well, at first i didn't believe that article because it's just a regular newspaper, but it's now been reported in the news such as Metro but it's disappointing as this is not how you are supposed to market a 13-year-old with a great voice. That's what happens when you're with Syco.
