Winston, Tracey and Marie Appreciation Thread

These three individuals are clearly the backbone of Walford, without them Walford would collapse into complete ruins. Where else would one get a pint, a sarnie or a dodgy cd from if these three were not around.

Tracey is just epic, she has had some fantastic lines over the past few years but her expressions are legendary. The Kings and Queens of Walford change frequently but Tracey is always there. She is really loyal too and must love working in the Vic because she always goes back after she's been fired.

Who can forget one of the most iconic plots in ee history when Winston cut off his famous dreadlocks for charity. He is such an amazing guy and his good nature is clear for us all to see.

As for Marie, putting up with working with Ian for a poor salary she must surely deserve a sainthood.

I hope these three never get axed from the show as they could never be replaced.

I wasn't just about to ask who Marie even was! I never would have remember if you hadn't said, she's had that much of an impact of me!

I do like how most EE places of work do have at least 1 person who doesn't live on the square or have many interactions at all with the local people to make it more true to life. There should be more Tracy, Winston and Marie's in Soaps! I can't think of any in Corrie. We always see different people in the background at the factory but they never speak to Carla for us to even know what they're names are, let alone have major interactions with their more local work colleages Sally, Sean, Julie, Hayley, Izzy and Eileen

Coronation Street has had prominent extras in the past, like the Polish woman who worked in the factory and Eileen was a glorified extra when she first joined.

Wiki? Granted she never really had her own storyline but she was always in the pub with the girls (and Sean) and entering in dialogue with the others at the factory so she was more of a character than the likes of Tracy in EE.

What happened to Wiki anyway? The actress went on maternity leave around the same time as Alison King and Jan Danson back in 2009 but she just never came back! I don't remember the factory girls mentioning her ever again. I imagine we're to assume she just moved away, which I guess does suggest she was nothing more than an extra rather than a valued character who would have had a proper exit, despite her frequent speaking parts. Ted, Aunty Pam and Connie are recent examples of this too.

I don't remember Eileen ever being a 'glorified extra', she may have been an unknown when she first arrived (to take a job in the cab office?) but she very quickly became a regular with her own family.

I would love if they did the next E20 with these three and maybe Mr.Lister. Would love to see their lives outside of the market.

Winston is a modern day hero/ a Legend amongest the common man...he is still persisting with selling CDs & tapes and still has his stall so must be doing well, he could charm birds from the trees. I think we have a modern Chuck Norris.
I think I'm in love but then again I'm only a woman, so it was bound to happen.

Does anyone remember when Winston had dreadlocks? I think he shaved them off in the vic for charity.
