Simon Cowell Plans To Replace The Hoff With Louis Walsh After This Series
According to this article on the Daily Mail website Simon Cowell is planning to replace David Hasselhoff with Louis Walsh after this series of BGT due to falling ratings.
The article in full: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz...=feeds-newsxml Another thing to point out is that the article quotes two DS forum members regarding the quality of this series so far and the judges. So what do you think if this article is true? Would Louis Walsh replacing The Hoff be a good idea considering that he's on The X Factor as well?

sounds like he will either totally revamp XF with 4 new judges or 3 new ones to join Dannii. I hope Dannii would stay on XF

The story has been denounced as nonsense.

It is far to early to just totally discount David Hasselhoff as he has only been on it for three shows. The man deserves a chance just like Michael McIntyre to show what he can do.
Simon would be just admitting he is wrong if he did get rid of him and it would not suprise me if this story is true as he is a ruthless man at the best of times. Louis Walsh would be a pathetic replacement, I see enough of him on X Factor. |

I would love Louis as a repalcement but next season may be too late. I agree though the Hoff hasn't been given a chance

Only thing louis walsh knows about is irish singers, putting him in BGT will surely be the final nail in the coffin (hopefully).

I hardly think it's the judges that are causing the ratings to fall. How about the agonising tripe they keep putting on stage?
I can't stand Louis Walsh anyhow. He annoys me on XF and we don't need him on BGT. The Hoff hasn't done badly at all. Or McIntyre. The new judging panel is much better than in previous series. |

Lol putting walsh in the panel will make people hate the show more. It might as well be a mini x-factor show if thats the case with him and simon judging.

Would be the right decision to replace him, he doesn't really work on BGT, the language barrier is really noticeable. However...Louis Walsh? Why must we have him again? Can't we have someone who actually has something to say. I suggest an older female music producer/writer/singer. Then we'd have judges representing singing, 'acting' and comedy.

She use to do New Faces - right old ogre even then - that could stir it up a bit Personally I like the Hoff - maybe just because i like 'nice' people Cant stand Louis - he's too prejudiced towards Irish acts - hasn't even got the nouse to try an disguise it either |

Shot in the dark, but could the 'falling ratings' possibly have anything at all to do with the wall to wall crap acts ending with one mediocre act at the end?
Do they really think that anyone only every tunes in to see the judges? How to completely miss the point. |

I don't get why Louis Walsh is so happy to play up to the Irish buffoon role he's given on these shows. I think it's embarassing. He wouldn't have reached the level he has in the music business if he was that daft.

It's nothing to do with the judges. For Britain's Got Talent to work, it needs more Talent.
Not one good act in every hour show. |

Britain's Got Talent is a show that relies on the talent; not the panel. It's the opposite of The X Factor.
If anyone should be sacked it's the editor who pushes the rubbish acts ahead of the reasonable talent. |

How about Nicki Chapman - she's doing nothing at the moment (if you dont count holiday programmes)
She use to do New Faces - right old ogre even then - that could stir it up a bit I think your confusing her with Nina Myskow. |

persnally i'd rather see paul o'grady on the panel. we need someone who can be a bit toxic. from what i've seen of louis when he has guest judged is that like simon cowell, he doesn't know or appreciate anything outside of the music industry.

I hope this is true, but really, I'd settle for anyone replacing the Hoff. The guy has got to go. He's a loudmouthed American more suited to loudmouthed American versions of such shows.

As everyone has said - it's the talent that's lacking - maybe it would be good to give the show a break for a year or two and then have a big come back - no-one is watching for the judges, they're watching to be entertained, and there's not a whole lot of that going on. |

The hoff is pleasant enough, but the wrong man for this. He didn't know any of the people the impressionist was mimicing, especially Kevin Webster, but still said "that was great, good job man" and put him through, he also told people " I didn't understand one word of that" and " I have no idea what your saying" and still said to them " it's a yes from me".... It's another nail in the coffin
