The hoff is pleasant enough, but the wrong man for this. He didn't know any of the people the impressionist was mimicing, especially Kevin Webster, but still said "that was great, good job man" and put him through, he also told people " I didn't understand one word of that" and " I have no idea what your saying" and still said to them " it's a yes from me".... It's another nail in the coffin
and yet the audience clearly liked the act, so it would have been rather unfair for him to say 'no' for something he didn't fully understand, either.

so by that logic, its cool to have a judge that has no idea whats he is hearing, but if the audience cheer he votes yes and if they boo he votes no.............right........so we need no judges, just a clap-omitor
are you the current producer by any chance?

If replacing the Hoff with Louis means he won't be on X-factor, then I would not want Louis on BGT

But he also found it entertaining himself. You don't have to understand everything to like it. Unless you're Louis Walsh by any chance and don't get it?

Not to sound like David Cameron, but calm down dears, it's only one man. If all else fails, we can pull Piers back. Har har.

I'm surprised at how much I like the Hoff on BGT. He's annoyed me in the past, but for some reason I like him now.

Having said that, he does have trouble understanding some of the acts, which could be a problem. I can understand why he may be replaced after this series.

But please...do not replace him with Louis Walsh.

Anyone but him - and simon.

They could have Sharon Osbourne on Britians got talent with Louis. Then have new judging lineup on x-factor.

I really think that The Hoff has been a welcome breath of fresh air to the panell and it would be wrong to replace him. Its bad enough having Louis Walsh on X Factor. Both David and Michael have been a really breath of fresh air on the panell.

No doubt its fresher with Micheal (and the hoff is ok i suppose) but with the lack of a "nasty" judge is allowing alot of the bad acts are getting through and its annoying, i dont know whether or not to blame the judges or the producers for this. At least with Simon he told it as it was and the acts aspired to get a yes from him to get a sence of achievement.

I think the Hoff's been great.

Can't stand louis Walsh and he's a hopeless judge on this. To get a yes from this buffoon, all an act needs to do is turn up wearing a green t-shirt, Louis'll get all nostalgic for the "emerald oisle" and its an instant yes.

Simon Cowell can't see further than his own nose.

It was always dire Cheryl Cole. And it's either Hoff or Louise Walsh.

Nobody else then? Dreary.

Yes, that's what the world needs. That highly annoying man on two entertainment shows (though the description entertainment is questionable these days). Sod off and get back to managing boy bands.

I hope this is true, but really, I'd settle for anyone replacing the Hoff. The guy has got to go. He's a loudmouthed American more suited to loudmouthed American versions of such shows.
He was crap on that too.

Hasselhoff isn't a bad judge because he's American. He's a bad judge because he's a talentless joke, a drunk, and a lout. It has nothing to do with where he's from.

As a Brit who has worked in the US for the past seven years, with many friends and colleagues of both nationalities, I wholeheartedly agree.

That's right.

Which is why he is one of the most successful men in the business of popular entertainment.

I suggest Les Dennis could be fun with him sitting by his Ex. Might spice it up a bit

All Louis would say to everyone would be "You look loike a pop star!" he would say it to the performing dogs, acrobat acts and comedy acts whether they were singing or not because that is his standard comment on every blooming X Factor performance.

More much amusing and acerbic would be the other Louis. Mr Spence!

Only marginally less irritating than Tweedy's stock phrase "You look like a propa little pop star".

If they were going to replace the Hoff why do it with Louis? Why not do it with some one like Paul O'Grady?

Paul O' Grady does not like/get on with Simon Cowell he has said as much a couple of times on his shows. I think he would have to be a yes man to get on the judging panel and i can't see that happening
