Has anyone read these i started to out of curiosity for (Another) retelling of the Spiderman saga and i was surprised how much i like it. Just wondering what the general consensus was about it.

I started reading it when they decided to nix the Amazing continuity with all the "Brand New Day" shenanigans. Love it. It's now on my pull list and I've almost got all the trades...

I read about 100 issues from back when they were first published but then I found it hard to get copies and gave up on it a little.

Enjoyed the series from what I read. but now it has been years I will probably find it difficult to get the comics.

It's an excellent series. Runs out of steam somewhere around issue #50 or thereabouts, though.

I actually picked up issue 100 when it came out in 2006, they've only just hit issue 151. The comics are readily available all over, maybe check out the collected trade paperbacks, though, as they're easier to grab via Amazon...

I would have to disagree and say that this series has yet to jump the shark unlike some of writer Brian Bendis's other work.

I wouldn't go as far as to say it has jumped the shark, but "run out of steam" seemed pretty fair to me. By most comic book standards, it's still a pretty good read, but nowhere near as good as it used to be. Particularly after Bagley's departure.
