What is this???? Unbelievable. Syed is a gentle, good man who has showed respect, misplaced and all that, to his parents, for [far] too long. Backbone? These people have no idea what that means. It takes backbone to do all that he has done.

Loved tonight's ep, but was hoping the adoption chat was going to be on Arthur's bench in the square not the vic and the Syed confrontation was outside of the vic but oh well, it was great and I love them more and more each viewing!

I wouldn't say I loved it, but I was expecting to hate it so it was a step up . I think I've just resigned myself to the fact that they are going to do the adoption SL now, and trying to go with it.

Yes of course a child will never replace what Syed has lost, and yes it is going to be rushed - with the interview being in a few weeks - but I didn't feel like it was all about what Christian wanted this time, as it was with the surrogacy.

I am worried about what the reasoning for the proposal will be, but as with the adoption am reserving judgement for the moment.
BIB I'm hoping maybe when the adoption meeting doesn't go to plan, Christian realises that Syed doesn't need a child to be his new family, he already has one - Christian.

He looks kind of bored to me, waiting for her to stop crying!
I haven't seen it but that reminds me of one of my favourite Sean scenes when, I forgot her name..Johnny the gangsters daughter (I think her dad had died) and she was crying and he was pretending to care because he wanted her money but he looks so bored.

This. It takes courage and backbone to be with the man you love, knowing you would lose your family...grrrr

Just watching the scenes with Jane in the pub. It's really lovely how smiley and happy they all are, and how well they all get on... Loving Syed pulling faces and rolling eyes and Chryed winking at each other.. it's so ..... guhhhhhhhhh

Random. sorry.

The person who said that hates Syed and takes any opportunity to bash him and Christian, it was because of posters like that that I decided to stop reading there... this thread is much nicer

That'll work also!

I HAVEN'T TOLD THEM....they'd have me sectioned...
LOL! I thought that might be the case!

Reserving judgement does seem wise. And I agree about at least it not being only about Christian. I have no idea how I'll like the adoption s/l. Isn't what I would have chosen for them, but who knows, depending on who writes it, it could be good...

I'm clinging to the notion that the adoption is halted in its tracks by the social worker they go and see, and that the reason ISN'T because they aren't married.

They can't do that to us!

Probably still some blood stains lying around if they had a look.
Dead romantic that is.
You could probably shut your eyes and still hear the screams if you really try and the flickering candlelight could recreate the ambulance turning up if you let it. No wonder they fell in love again.

THIS! I misheard some of their last 40 seconds tonight, and the first time round I thought he said that HE was Syed's family. Unfortunately not.

My mum hasn't spoken to me since our 'falling out' before EE

Probably a good thing though, I'm not best pleased with her
