I'm still really annoyed about those comments on that Daily Fail article and that radio show. I agree that parents are doing their children a lot more harm than good shielding them from things that are 'unnatural' and ‘wrong’, they're consequently raising the next generation up to be bigots which is really sad; what will make it even more sad is if TV shows pander to the homophobic minority. It’s 2011, not 1911, times are changing, and human rights are improving, so raising children to see homosexuals as lower than them and something to be ashamed of is hugely detrimental to society. Just look at the gay teen suicide rates and it’s becoming clear that when basic human rights are moving forward, bigots are moving it back again.

Evening all I noticed on an earlier phone-lurk that we'd been granted top billing in our special sub-forum (the only way to look at it) and that several posters amongst the also-rans had been gloating at having "got rid of us", inlcuding the usual suspects such as the Feline Fishwife

I was intending to nip on there when I fired up the laptop and tell them to Foxtrot Oscar but saw that some of our number had already fought our corner (with a delightfully drunken but pertinent post from a Kalied Katrina ) so decided not to waste another second of my time on such pond-life.

Why do people have to pour scorn upon and wish to eradicate something that, whilst not their cup of tea, gives a lot of people a lot of pleasure without impingeing on their little world Ah well, they can now talk bollards 'til dawn on the general board and we can get cosy here with Chryed in our new Inner Sanctum
