But it is working as a light entertainment show - there are plenty of extremely talented people in different areas, but BGT is looking for ones which fit a family-friendly light entertainment stage show. That's the entire point, so no one should be watching thinking "but where are the talented mathmaticians or film-makers!?", because they don't work on the show.
That said, I do agree in some respect, because I always feel like dance/acts that rely on the viewer watching them are disadvantaged compared to the singers/acts you listen to, because of all the constant cutaways to the judges, Ant & Dec and the audience (is it just me or are they cutting to audience members' reactions more often this year?) - it means that you'll inevitably miss chunks of the dance act, where-as with singers, even if the camera isn't on them you're still hearing their entire act.
