A terrible album by an artist you usually love
Inspired by the thread on terrible songs by artists you usually love.
Sugababes - Catfights and Spotlights I thought this was their weakest album really, I only like a couple of songs on it. |

Good idea for a thread!
Janet Jackson - 20 YO. Not terrible per se, just doesn't match up with her previous albums imo. Madonna - American Life. Really don't like this album at all. |

Cheryl Cole - Messy Little Raindrops. It wasn't terrible, for me. Just not as good as her debut and some of the songs didn't belong on the same album. It was sort of thrown together.

Quite a few of the more recent albums from R.E.M.
I wouldn't go so far as saying they're terrible because they still have one or two great tracks, but they are far, far below their earlier work. |

Memphis Blues - Cyndi Lauper
She probably alienated a huge portion of her international audience by doing a blues album, especially after such a great pop album in the form of Brink Ya To the Brink. I listened to it once, rarely felt so disappointed in an artist, and deleted it from my PC. I was shocked at how soulless it was when Cyndi has always sung with more heart than most artists out there put together. |

David Bowie - "1 Outside"
Up until that album I worshipped the ground David Bowie walked on. The two previous albums "Black Tie White Noise" and "The Buddha of Suburbia" were excellent, but "1 Outside" had too many tuneless dirges on it. But the beauty of David Bowie is that if you don't like one particular album of his then you are guaranteed to like at least one of his others, they are all different. |

Panic! At The Disco - "Pretty.Odd."
Never has an album title been so fitting. Tried to go in a completely different direction to their first album and it just didn't work. Luckily their latest album's great

It's obviously all down to personal taste but
Madonna - Bedtime Stories. I just cannot listen to this all the way through - mainly because it's such a snoozefest i'd fall asleep by track 4! Not a patch on her other albums. Bedtime Story, Sanctuary and Human Nature are the only decent tracks. I will say that Bedtime Story is one of my favourite M singles Christina - Back to Basics (not Bionic *shock! *). Not my cup of tea atall. Loved Stripped and one of the few who adore Bionic, but I just can't stand this. Definately her worst offering. CD2 is better than CD1 though.Janet 20YO (seen a few for this ) - Most of the songs don't say 'Janet', they say 'Generic pap that any plain Jane could put their name to'... Call On Me is her worst single EVER. She most definitely returned to form for Discipline though!

Kate Nash - My Best Friend Is You
just.... what the hell. Most of this album is incomphrehensible noise. She's an idiot. Black Eyed Peas - The Beginning some decent tracks but has absolutely nothing on The END which is incredible. |
