I love pink lady but they are so pricey I now just don't buy apples at all

I enjoy eating green apple, especially in salad.

Granny Smiths are top for me, followed by Pink Ladies.

This thread is very apporpriate for me actually as I recently started eating apples after never really bothering with them, and I'm really enjoying them. So far I have tried Granny, Golden Delicious, Pink Lady, Gala, Coxes, Braeburn. Any other recommendations will be appreciated.

Favourite has always been Granny Smith, but have had some poor examples of that variety too (soft Granny Smith, yuck!).

Really any apple that is crisp, sharp, juicy and not too sweet.

Pink Lady for me too. Nice crunchy texture of a Granny Smith but sweeter.

Hate red Macintosh...the thick chewy waxy skin and the soft texture of the flesh. Bleugh.

Red. But I don't mind Green either.
