Oranges - used to taste better?

Is it just nostalgia or did oranges used to taste better?

I'm sure as a child they were juicier and tastier.
I also remember being able to get absolutely massive ones as well.

Don't really know. It depends on the type of orange, I suppose and at this time of year they are not very nice at all.

I think all fruit tasted better especially Bananas. Our taste buds change as well as we get older & things become more bland. I grow my own fruit & veg & it does taste much better than shop bought.

The big ones are seasonal - I had a lot over the wintertime. Nowadays supermarket-bought fruits are definitely less tasty than market or greengrocer-bought ones, in the olden days fruits were never put on the shelf before they were ripe like supermarkets do all the time.

I have noticed my orange juice seems not to be a snice anymore... all different kinds.
