Anyone on orange having issues with data or anything else?

I have had no data service on my phone for most of the day. My dongle SIM has been fine though.

Can't access my account online and after calling them they have a message saying they have a major service issue.

House mate 300 miles away also can't use data.

Basically everything fell over at 13:30-ish due to a power supply failure at a data hub. Data should now be available again though now. The network outage knocked the intranet offline too which caused the phones at the centres to crash etc

I'd call tomorrow if you need to.

Wouldn't you have thought their office network and phones would be separated, not only for security, but also if an outage occurs then the staff can still help customers etc.

Still, not surprising for a company that still uses IE6 on their machines.

Don't be silly, that would be far too logical.

Matty try turning your phone off and back on, if there was an outage maybe it needs restarting. Unlikely but worth a try.

No service on my phone still...

I am connecting via orange from a mifi dongle though and that works!

So only some APN's down, my theory.

It won't because even if you connect to another network, you still use the same APN. The APN's used by iPads and dongles route through T-Mobiles backhaul so that's why that is working...

My internet connectivity has gone again. I have half signal and normally get GPRS where i am right now but there's nothing. I hope these problems are sorted out soon as the ongoing issues are really starting to get very disruptive.

Interesting - we were supposed to have our work 'phone numbers ported from Vodaphone to Orange, today.

So far outgoing calls & texts work - but incoming texts don't arrive & incoming calls go straight to Vodaphone voice mail.

the outgoing number is reported as the correct (previous) one for the 'phone, so that has registered properly using the new sim, however incoming calls/texts still don't work despite several resets - lol

Seem to be having data issues again (Colchester, Essex). No connectivity over 3G. This is shocking service from Orange.
