I havent posted much on here since last year but has anyone ever reached a conclusion as to why the garden equipment in amys garden was often seen in different places within very short time spans.
by equipment i mean the position of the bee hives and bench that seem to move around within the first few minutes of the episode.I thought it odd at the time and was thinking of two realities with amy back then especialy with the doctor always arriving late in the Tardis the whole way through.
Im sure it will turn out to be a production error but im not sure why they would move these objects.

I think you are right. I think SM thinks a long way ahead. I think he started thinking of this arc back in Silence in the Library days.

Or it could just be a production error and they were moving the props to cover multiple cameras from the view of other cameras

Could be but the bench was moved to the other side of the garden which is very odd.
I remember someone joking about it once before saying the bee hives could be mini Tardis's (Like the hut on the beach last week)

Were the various outfit changes on the Doctor explained? Sorry, not 100% sober, so can't remember. They were quite blatant.

Maybe one timeline is running behind the other - hence Rory's badge dated 1990?

In the Eleventh hour, when the Doctor goes "what did I miss?" and starts going all Doctorvision on everything, he zooms in on Rory's badge which says it was issued in 1990.

I am sure this was all intentional. The Dr Who team are far too intelligent (and geeky) to make so many schoolboy errors.

So, what is important about November 30th 1990?

I think there is a collision of alternate realities. Joked about it in another thread but the Amy's on/off pregnancy seems to lend credence to this possibility. Rory's inconsistant memory of his Roman time also may tie in with this. And finally, the fact that I do not understand one chuffing thing about what's going on also ties in with this theory!

I think the merging of two alternate timelines or realities is a very possible idea. Wasnt the crack in series 5 `two parts of time and space that had been pushed together but shoudnt have been` or something like that?
In the trailer for this series isnt the tardis flying away from a big crack like thing. Could be the two alternate timelines/realities merging?

River seems to me to be convinced (at some points) that she and the Doctor are traveling in opposite directions but there are moments such as the diaries sync that contradicts this. So I am thinking in one timeline her's and the Doctor's timelines are in opposite directions and the other where things are a bit more spordic and random. This could be extended to Rory as well which would explain how he can only sometimes remember waiting 2000 years for Amy. I'm suspecting that the series is going to end with these timelines colliding dramatically and converging back into one timeline. (Though I hope not making this series a series that never happened)

Amy ALSO has two timelines: one where she grew up raised by her aunt, one where she was raised by her parents. I'm guessing she remembers both of those too?

Well, technically, she was brought up by her parents in both - it's just that reality started to fall apart and things were removed. Big Bang 2 just reinstated the original timeline, replacing the timeline in which there were no stars (or parents).

But who the heck knows what she remembers of all that craziness!

Anyone else predicting a storyling where Amy's brain/memory is completely mashed?

She forgot her parents
She forgot Rory
She forgot the Silents
She can't clearly remember what happened in Day of the Moon because of the effects of the Silents.

Poor girl! She already had to see psychiatrists while she was young because of her imaginary friend!

Might also explain why Amy didn't know about the Daleks. It happened in a different timeline.

I'm new here, but rewatching 11th hour and I noticed something rather interesting..

just after the doctor leaves again to run the new tardis in, it cuts to a shot of young amelia, who seems to hear the tardis, and looks up. And then it goes again to the older amy where she meets the doctor again... Could this be an alternative timeline??

Sorry - but I am so fed up of these 'timelines' and 'cop-outs' that seem to be happening in recent times.
I LOVE stories about time-travel.....one of the main reasons I love Doctor Who! But to have it full-in-our-face every bloody story is just getting a bit tedious now.....and an easy solution to the story. "Let's go back and change everything" seems to be the attitude. Lazy writing.

It was the last day England and France weren't connected by land - Chunnel breakthrough was the next day.

To an extent Moffatt is dealing with a situation he inherited. Either he carries on with a bloated show where everyone knows the Doctor and daleks and giant cyber-robots, et al or he finds a way to return the series to a less is more ideal. This may require playing with reality/history. Actually , probably requires it to be honest.

On another note, I read today that (spoiler for Fringe fans)
Spoiler
Josha Jacksons character, Peter, in Fringe is returning for season 4 despite being erased from history.

These shows seem to have quite a bit in common!!
