Having got my new HTC Desire HD, I'm about to sell my old SE c905, but first I want to get all my data off it.

I've already deleted what pics and vids I had on there and I can get my contacts off my laptop. However, is there any way I can get my text messages off it and onto my laptop? Even if they are just exported as a *.txt file?

Please let me know!

I remember SE used to have a pc application for backing up texts etc. I can't remember the name but if you check out the SE website it should have more info for you.

You may want to perform a hard reset/factory reset once you have downloaded your texts messages. This will wipe all content from the phone.

To perform a master reset of settings and delete all settings and user data:

Select Menu > Settings > General (tab) > Master reset.
Select an option:
Reset settings: If you want to delete all user data, such as contacts, messages, and downloaded games.
Reset all: If you want to reset both user data and restore all original phone settings.
Select Continue > Continue.
The phone restarts.
