going by the pics, I would say 15 and 16 look most likely to reach the final. maybe number 11 will get very close. The images have been photoshopped too much, they all look brown.

I'm gutted!

Where are all the fit birds?

Last year's had the most attractive female contestants on The Apprentice ever! This year.....not so much!

They've dropped the ball this year!
Those photos are SO bad how can we tell?

I mean I suspect that Zoe might be halfway decent if she didn't look like she'd swallowed a lemon, Melody might be striking (in a good way) in better lighting, and Felicity... well... I'd have to see a full body shot to tell.

Still available, here.
Nah, they took it offline for about 2 hours this afternoon, resulting in a BBC 404 message.

Probably picked up on some mistakes or something and had to correct them offline.

Good grief.

Not flattering pictures at all, looks like the cast of The Walking Dead - and not the living ones.

As I said. It was still available to me at the time I posted.

And I purged the cache to make sure I wasn't picking up an old copy.

Probably went off line for a short time and people were getting a cached 'unavailable' page.

Yeah I was just pointing out that before the time you'd posted it was definitely down. I did a Ctrl-F5 which I always do. It was taken down from about 2:30-4:30 or around that time. But it hardly matters...

I did think that quite a few of them were looking rather poorly - most peculiar. Is it the lighting? Really bad make-up?

They all look like caricatures.

As for the women, not a looker among them.

Melony - Showed some promise on the school "set up a business" scheme. Did nothing for the next 13 years
Leon - has a pizza website
Alex - Estate Agent
Felicity - Talent Agent
Edna - sales team manager
Susan - Avon Lady
Ellie - Recruitment Pimp
Helen - waitress turned secretary
Natasha - Recruitment pimp
Zoe - Daddy's Girl
Vincent - sales team manager
Jim - sales team manager
Edward - Accountant
Gavin - Shop Owner
Glenn- Engineer
Tom - "Inventor"
Only the last two seem to have Dragon's Den potential to me, though I suspect Jim, Vincent & Edna will go to the end as despite his protests to the contrary Lord S just loves the BS merchants

Psh! Look at Jenny Celerier! Trod on her like a bug. Edna strikes me as a bit of a Jenny.

Helen looks like a riot to me already

As I am from abroad, I can´t watch the videos so based solely on the pictures (and job titles) I can see the following people in the running:

Alex
Tom
Gavin
Melody
Natasha
Zoe

Though Melody has the disadvantage of the Yasmina factor (which is why Ellie is no option at all for me, remember Stella?).

Also, a shrink And there is no way that Susan is the youngest contestant.

Is this a record for most foreign contestants ever (or at least most nationalities), as apart from the usual mix of females we also have quite a few foreign (french mainly) named (or looking) male constestants.

Oh yeah I remeber him now.

But I think shes the first asian woman to be on the UK show.
She might be the first Eastern Asian female. She's not the first Asian female.

Asia covers a much broader spectrum.

My memory is not that great, but wasn't that down to a less than Kosher chicken? Some things you shouldn't BS him about I guess

Yeah, out of the top of my head:

Saira
Sara
Sandeesh
Ghazal

(not counting the Middle East as Asian)

As for the profile pictures, though they always are a bit off (I remember Yasmina looking angular in them, which she wasn´t at all), this time they really should have done a re-shoot (those stills from the videos look nothing like the photo´s!).

She was basically deemed to be full of it. The chicken was part of it, though, you're right.

Incidentally, does anyone have any idea at all what order the candidates are in on the website? I can't work it out. It's not alphabetical, it's not age, the mix of genders is odd... there's only one thing I can think of that it could be, but I really hope they weren't stupid enough to put them up in firing order.

Based on the videos...
Leon: I had a feeling that his photo would be unflattering to how he really looks. Has a youthful, and possibly naive, exuberance about him.
Alex: Has a major broomstick up his *ahem*, likely to be far more inept than he'll ever accept or acknowledge.
Melody: Interesting accent. Her confidence probably isn't as high as she makes out, but then again her achievements are quite intriguing.
Felicity: scarily like a cheeky, rowdy school girl on work experience!
Edna: Has a motherly quality to her, maybe a bit patronising.
Susan: I always love a giddy person, I hope the poor girl isn't trod on like a delicate little flower.
Ellie: lol didn't expect that badass accent, but I like her much more than when I saw her picture.
Helen: so annoyingly perfect, or tries to be.
Natasha: another 'don't mess with me' attitude. I like it.
Vincent: ROFL Inspector Clouseau. More toned-down and likeable than I thought he would be though.
Jim: Far more laid-back and insightful than his picture would suggest.
Edward: Going to cause problems I think.
Gavin: In his picture he looks worried, but in his video- 'BLA BLA BLA BLA BLA BLA BLA BLA BLA BLA!!!!' Oh my word! Would you please stfu!
Tom: Seems very smart but might become sooooo grating.
Glenn: At first I thought 'yeeesh' but he seems to get more normal as the video goes on.
Zoe: Very cautious and quietly self-satisfied.

@jennybull Well it's gonna be better than the new series right? I mean The Apprentice without The Brand is like Nando's without sauce.

Two of Melody's web sites:

http://www.melodyhossaini.com/the-apprentice-2011/

http://inspirengage.com/

As far as I know, an Apprentice even mentioning the series these days would get dragged over the coals. The first link looks like her cack-handed attempt to capitalise from the show with a web link or two, whilst not specifically saying she was in it. I'd say she got fired then too!

In the Morrocco task Jenny Celary and Micheal had bought halal chicken thinking it was kosher. But the final coup de gras was when she claimed to not know what kosher ment but then a few minutes later said she held Micheal responsible for the kosher mistake as she knew he was jewish and so should know what a kosher chicken was. That blatent lie along with other dubious behaviour (trying to bribe a storeworker to not string the oppositions' racquet) got her one of the most deserved bootings of any series.

It may be a new series.....but it looks like the same tired old ponces, narcisists, blaggers, sh*ggers, bullsh*tters, golddiggers, wannabees & w*nkers.

Anyway that's enough about Lord God Almighty Sugar & Karen "I'm well out of my depth" Brady.......I wonder what the contestants are like.

Haha, I never thought I'd find that quote on DS!

I do wonder if anyone will try the 'Stuart Baggs' approach, knowing how much it got people talking last series. Several candidates, like others have said in this thread, look like they could spout off the BS at will...

I suppose we shall have to wait and see!

There is already a spoiler out there from the first episode that one of the contestants uses the same kind of analogy that The Brand used (with pony's, field of pony's etc.).

Mind you, the upcoming series was shot in the autumn when the last series was shown on television (so, it's quite improbable that there is a copying effect from the last series).

P.S. Through the spoilers from the people (the tv critics) who have seen the opening episode, I already know which candidate doesn't get fired.
