She might be the first Eastern Asian female. She's not the first Asian female.

Asia covers a much broader spectrum.
Its the one down side of the term "Oriental" becoming politically incorrect. The term was specific, even if it was eventually abused to put people down.

I don't believe any intelligent people would find the term politically incorrect. It merely denotes some kind of ethnic origin. (Obviously there are some idiots who'll find anything that even hints at race offensive.)

Use of the term 'Asian' can be taken as offensive because it covers such a wide range of ethnicities.

Couldn't this guy have had a shave before his photo?

The stubble look doesn't look that professional to me, well, not in a business context. I suppose Sugar's done well with a beard!

He looks a bit like Mr Bean.

I've noticed a lot of the candidates imitate Lordalun's stubble eg previous winner Lee. And even some of his co-horts like Paul Kelsmy - will Karren stick on some stubble next?

Jim is a cool guy, he's an ex-pupil of my school and he was in around February/March doing an assembly on writing our CV with us, seemed like a really cool guy.

The promo pics seem to use that strange lighting effect they have in the boardroom scenes - really highlights blues so they look a bit ill and brings up all the stubble. At least I hope thats what it is for the candidates sake - and mine 'cos I don't want to spend the next three months watching "The Ugly Bugs' ball"

I agree with him about Gavin, from his pic he seemed the most interesting and mysterious, likely to have some hidden talents in there somewhere. But his video shocked the hell out of me, he was just an annoying motor-mouthed fool.

I hope he was just hyper at the time desperate to make a good impression, or more likely make an impact.
Okay so now he's made it on the show I hope he cools it down a bit, although I do see him doing well and making it far anyway.

All that "respect" stuff did my head in. "And they WILL respect me. And I will win everything and i will win the apprentice and I will show them all! I will!"

I've worked with people like that.

Issuews! You mark my words.
