After loading it onto a memory stick and pluging it into the telly, what happens next?

I've seen some instructions on the samsung site
But I have never done it before and aprihensive about doing it.
Will it improve anything if I do it ?

Usually you plug the USB drive into the USB port and the TV recognises the format of the file and will start the update process automatically,displaying the progress as it does so.Usually the TV will then shut down and restart and you may or may not be asked to run an autotune or factory restore to finish the process.This is what I had to do with my Toshiba set a few months ago.Whatever you do don't interrupt the process or remove the USB drive until it tells you to otherwise you could render the TV useless.
