Evoke Flow any good ?

I quite liked the sound of this radio in the shop , not too tinny

I was wondering if anyone has any experience of using this with a NAS hard drive for my Dire Straits music !

I also wonder if the optional Chargepak is any good , or batteries better ? Its for the bath !

What happened to the solar powered model ? Is it still on the go ? Might not have enough juice for Wi Fi though

The touch buttons on it are horrible, their insensitive and it's easy to hit the wrong one.

Personally I would go for the Pure One Flow because it appears similar but It's cheaper and has physical buttons.

Which ever one you go for the charge pack is good and recommended (I also use it in the bath)

I just use Internet radio, have never tried streaming from my NAS.

EDIT: reading other people's views they both seem to work fine streaming from the WD My Book World so if you have a similar NAS it should be fine.

If that's the case then just go for the evoke flow, apart from the shitty buttons it's a good radio.

I have never used the Roberts radio, I wasn't aware they did an equivalent wifi/dab/fm combo.

You need to also buy the additional S-1 speaker for the Evoke Flow if you want stereo sound.

I have the Avanti Flow which is an excellent unit (though more expensive) and the sound is actually quit decent. This does everything I want - Internet Radio / DAB / FM / iPod / Music Streaming and has no problem navigating the directories and streaming music over wi-fi from my 500GB networked drive.

I have an Evoke Flow and it's a great radio, I would suggest getting the remote for it though. The sound quality is excellent and FM/DAB reception is fine, but I mainly use it for online radio. I highly recommended it.
