My favourite part about last nights confidential was the 'day in the life of'....all that food
Also, it was nice to see that Gaiman is a fan of the show.

o no the food bit was a bit pointless! Didn't understand why we needed to know that.

Lol Gaiman is cool! Didn't the patchwork people remind you of the master and his wife from les miserables! We even thought doc who had stolen the music!

Well each week it shows us a different member of the teams job, we've had the director, producer and Arts guy. I like it...okay, the food one was pointless, but it does give an insight into the life of working on Doctor Who.

haha, I can't compare...never seen Les Mis

No i do listen to other peoples reviews. It gives me another look at the subject. If i agree with it is another question. I remember that you cared so much about the ratings

But ratings prove how good/popular a show is. Critics are just naturally grumpy and try to find the bad in something, plus it doesn't prove if a show/film is good or not, as its not the critics that matter, its the fans who are the real critics/judges of the show.

I disagree, the critics opinion means something too, otherwise our opinion wouldn't mean anything either. They have to judge something with an unbiased opinion. Their judgement is important for the shows/movies success, without it people might not see it. And sometimes they protect you from seeing something very bad.

I don't know anyone who listens to a critic...and my Uncle's a Journalist. They're pretty much the laughing stock of the Entertainment industry. I will only ever listen to a fellow fans opinion, such as yourself.

Am not any different from a critic. If i say something is bad then for it is bad. Critics are important you just choose not to listen to them. That way you can easily go and watch a bad movie and waste your money.

No, I choose for myself what is a bad movie, I don't need someone else to guide me. I'm not a child.
If I listened to Critics I wouldn't watch some of my favourite films.

It has nothing to do with being a child. Because i'm not a child!
If you like a movie idea you'll go anyway. But if i listened to critics i could have avoided Transformers 2 and Sucker Punch! And a lot of movies get a just review, usually getting the right amount of stars.
