I thought the exact same thing as you. I almost expected her to regenerate into River Song during the episode. Its something we'll have to wait and see. But it would be weird if she was a one off character.

I agree, there are still some question marks around her. I still like to know what her relationship is with the Doctor. It seems like it is a serious relationship. I think Steven Moffat likes to stretch this story out as far as he can.

Yeah i sometimes felt she knew what was going to happen. And River Song herself knew what was going to happen. But a baby can't remember things at that age We'll see in 3 months time.

Maybe not in the next, but in the last ep...I donno! She's such a mysterious character. We don't know anything about her. But that she THINKS she's from the Gamma Forest (whatever it might be) and River Song speaks like she's lived there too. And at the end she says "WE got that word from you"....

Yeah! River Song knew exactly what's happening, but she didn't at that early age when she might have been that soldier. Maaaybe, she regenerates into the little girl! XD Okay, this is not likely to happen!

True, we still don't know that much. It all sounds good, and i agree that River seems to know things about the forest people as if she lived there. We might be way off, but who knows. We might be on to something.

Hmmm, maybe. It could be that the Doctor takes Melody to a different place when he saves her and that Amy is angry that she can't take care of her. Or that she is angry that the Doctor couldn't prevent her baby to be taken by those people. I also imagine that the Doctors and Rivers relationship has changed.
