Our poor Charlie has been hit by a car, we are just back from the emergency vets,
It looks bad, he can't move his back legs and was in a lot of pain, the vet is keeping him in overnight, but has told us to expect the worst,
We are devastated, he is a real member of the family and is only 3 years old, all the neighbours know him and it was a neighbour who told us he was hurt,
I hope that he will be ok, But have told the vet to do what he feels is right if it is the worst case scenario.

You are right, it will be a long night for you.
One of mine was hit by a car last August and I had the same all night wait for news. Luckily all turned out well. Still her pelvis was broken so a long recovery followed but I will never forgot that night.

At least you got him to the vet quickly so he will be out of pain and receiving whatever treatment is possible. My fingers are crossed for you that all will turn out ok.

My next door neighbor recently spent £1000+ importing a cat from Australia to have it run within 3 weeks of having it.

I hope there is good news this morning. I am praying its good news.

Horrible news, hope it's not as bad as expected OHG.
I remember how awful it was when I lost my little Dave at 18 months, I was devastated.

Sadly it was bad news this morning, and Charlie the best cat in the world, had to be put to sleep, We are devastated here he was very much a member of the family,

If someone had told ME 3 years ago that I, a grown man, would weep over a dead cat, I would have laughed at them,
He was my buddy, always keen to sit on me for a stroke and a purr,
I will miss him.

Thirteen years ago, one of mine was hit by a car right in front of me, she was only ten months old. I cried for days and felt bereft for months. It will take time for you to grieve and to come to terms with this.

My two little fellas were hit by cars. One at 10 months old and his brother at 2 years. It was around 10 years ago, it still very painful to think about.

It is awful to lose them at such a young age.
