One part of the format that does need changing is teams losing tasks on cost & making less profits, sometimes the losing team has been the best run team in the task, & part of the remit for winning a task shoiuld be how well the team was run, not just based entirely on who makes the most profit
One of the daftest things you got in earlier series was one tem losing by 50p (or whatever) on a turnover of hundreds and Sugar telling one team: "Well done - off you go for your treat" and then lambasting the other. It made both him and the whole process look ludicrous. Similarly the way he'll congratulate a 6-7 person team for making a couple of hundred pounds profit on a two day task ignoring the fact that even on minimum wage they would have made a massive loss. |

![]() Apart for the fact that they will have to change: "Lord Sugar's search for his apprentice continues", there's no real reason why the format has to change. |

It would be much harder to decide who the winners were and much more open to debate. Its much simpler just to see who has made the most money.

Yep the task in series 5 were the teams had to come up with Beauty Products, & the winning team only won by default, as the losing team got Cedarwood & Sandalwood oils mixed up & overspent there budget even though they were the better run team[still funny watching Kate's jaw drop at the realisation they'd overspent
]. Still it ment we got another week of Nooral doing his "rabbit in the headlights" routine. |

You could see Sugar was itching to kick the 'winning' team's butts for the stupidity of putting actual honeycomb in the middle of a bar of soap
Still it ment we got another week of Nooral doing his "rabbit in the headlights" routine. If it wasn't for the other team making the wrong choice of Oils Nooral would have been fired. It's like when Melissa's team won despite her abysmal performance in a task in the last series, only because the other team was more incompetent[6 bread rolls made instead of 1,000 that were ordered ]
