Orange upgrade cancellation
I'm with Orange and decided to upgrade to an iPhone 4 while I could still get a good price for recycling my 3GS. I did it online, because I didn't want to go through the old "do you want this? no" routine in-store.
It arrived yesterday, but it kept restarting itself every few minutes. A reset didn't fix it, so I sent it back Special Delivery and it's been delivered, so I'm now just waiting on them calling me to confirm what I want to do. What I'm wondering is, if I tell them I've returned it because I no longer want to continue with the upgrade, can I still go to the shop and upgrade? When I asked yesterday, the guy on the phone wasn't clear (he didn't answer the specific question of being able to go to the shop after cancelling an online upgrade). I just feel that I'd be prepared to weather the storm of offers of extended warranties and such like if it meant same-day problem resolution if the same happens again. |

They'll just reset your upgrade eligibility when they've checked the phone over so you'll be able to upgrade in store no problem. I'd recommend checking online to see when it's reset so you don't have any trouble in store, mine took around two days to change after the phone was received back at Orange.

The Orange shop wouldn't be able to do anything if their is a problem with the iPhone, they would have to refer you first to customer services then to Apple. With the iPhone, I have found it is easier to bypass the network altogether and just make an appointment at an Apple Store
