Totally disagree, the standard of 3D is superb now, i love watching football, golf darts etc in 3D as well as films, i think we should embrace and enjoy the technology, and if it means looking like Roy Orbison then so be it!

I'll embrace 3D when they introduce TV's and also cinema screens with 3D that doesent require glasses. Until then it's ****ing pointless.

The only technology I would buy would be a player with extra buttons
"Improve acting" "Remove padding from plot" "Remove Hollywood ending"

But if I press that I miss the pleasure of dissing the movie in superior tones to my friends.

It's had many complaints about dizziness and headaches in the media.

Out of interest is it true you can turn the 3D off?

Yes. You can move the screen slider to adjust the depth. If the slider's at the lowest position, the console's just in 2D. The games are all perfectly playable. It's just like a standard DS with better graphics.

So the headaches only come "for some" when the 3D option is switched on?

Yes. It's only the 3D effect that causes headaches. But I play in full 3D and have never had any problems.

So linkinpark875 "hates" the 3DS, but appears to never have used one?

Bizarre.

The threads also talking about 3D in general like movies.

And I'm not fan of PS3 games consoles like Xbox does that mean I can't dislike the look of the Xbox? Who says I have to use one? I could see pictures of it and decide I dislike it.

Hey fastest finger
I had chance to watch 3d tv for the first time and I have to say it blowed my mind.
The 3d effect was much better than I thought it would be be and it made the viewing experience fantastic. I was wearing a pair of quality headphones which alsio heapled. Overall I have to say that I am now a 3d tv fan.

3D TV's will be good when they manage to mass-produce large direct-view screens.

When I've looked at TV's using active shutter glasses, I am sensitive to the flickering it produces, so can't watch it.

I was watching some 3d on JVC DLA-X3 3D Projector on 120'' screen and have to say its amazing. I can't wait to get last £1500 my mine.

Now if you don't like it than don't use it. Why would you want something to fail becuase you don't like it.

I saw a demo of 3D TV in Currys last year and I wasn't really all that impressed. It might be different when they introduce 3D without needing glasses but at the moment I think it's overrated and gimmicky. I can't see it taking off for normal everyday TV viewing but I can kinda see its use for live sport and maybe movies and other "event" TV.

Surround Sound doubles immersive depth off any video say the World's experts THX and yet that has never taken off..
Dolby and a Sub Woofer transform Attenboro BBC HD programmes..
Our ears are part of our anatomy just as our eyes are..
No wonder people have head aches.. the sight to our brain changes and yet the sound stays the same..way back!!

whilst people would clearly prefer to watch 3D without having to wear glasses, at least the prices are coming down.

In my local Tesco I noticed a 50" Samung Plasma 3D TV and 3D Bluray Drive for £749 including 4 pairs of active glasses.

And the new 42" LG Passive 3D TV that is getting good review comes with 7 pairs of glasses
