Just listening to it for the first time now.
So, after the initial disappointment/concern from many fans after the first 2 singles, is it fair to say that initial general opinion of the album is that it's a success overall? |

woah Americano is insane....very kinda JUDY! JUDY! JUDY!
I love it la,la,la,la,la,lais this album a musical? I swear it could be a soundtrack to a kinda futuristic 1950s Musical influence with Judy garland, gene Kelly and Fred Astaire in control, directed by Madonna, David Fincher and James Cameron

If "not the album of the decade" is seen as a viable criticism then I think that speaks volumes for the quality of the album.

to be honest, "album of the decade" is a bit sensationalist! for her fans it will obviously be that! BUT my fave albums still remain The Naked & Famous and Friendly Fires.
but Lg is gonna be in my top 5 this year however, methinks behind Stevie Nicks and Britters! (thats if there are not any new releases by awesome artists this year) oh and Metro FROZE on me after Hair

The Times gave it 2/5 but they also gave The Fame Monster 2/5 so they're essentially saying that it's on the same level as The Fame Monster and that they have no taste. It's a rather succinct point. I wonder how long until Vanilla posts it.

Hi, I'm new here, so I thought I would post firstly about what I think about Lady GaGa's album
![]() Marry the Night - 9/10 - I honestly wasn't that bothered about this track when I first heard it but on second listen it is definitely one of my favourites on the album Born This Way - 7/10 - I was underwhelmed when this track first got released, probably because of the whole hype about her single outside of the fame but these past weeks it has been growing on me, still not as good as most of the tracks on this album though. Government Hooker - 8.5/10 - I like this track a lot actually, I wasn't sure what to expect with a name like that but I am not disappointed, the intro is just amazing Judas - 8.5/10 - this has to one of my favourite singles from Lady GaGa, I don't understand all of the hate for it but it is one of my least favourite tracks on here, probably because it doesn't sound as fresh as the other tracks because I've been listening to it non-stop since it came out. Americano - 7.5/10 - I wasn't quite sure what to make of this track when I heard it, it is definitely different and it sounds quite Italian, if that makes sense but it is a very good track, just not my favourite. Hair - 8.5/10 - When I first heard this song I wasn't that impressed but this song is definitely a grower and it is probably one of my favourite tracks on the album. Scheiße - 7.5/10 - There was so much hype about this song being probably the best song on the album after the album got leaked this morning, so I was trying not to expect so much from it but it does disappoint slightly, but after several listens it is starting to grow on me more and more. Bloody Mary - 8/10 - I really enjoyed this song when i first listened to it, I really like the slow-ish electronic type songs and this one is very good. Bad Kids - 7.5/10 - When I first listened to this song, I wasn't impressed, it was my least favourite song but after a couple of listens, like a few other songs on here, it has grown on me, not a favourite but a really good album track. Highway Unicorn (Road to Love) - 7.5/10 - when I first seen this name for the song, I really didn't know what to expect to be honest but I do actually really enjoy this song, it's a nice album track, but with this middle part of the album, most of the better songs seem to be early on in the album. Heavy Metal Lover - 8/10 - I think this song and bloddy mary are quite similar, not that they sound similar but they are both slower electronic songs and i like this one as much as bloody mary, i don't understand the hate for it, really good Electric Chapel - 9.5/10 - when i first the instrumental and that 9 second snippet I was really excited for this song but I tried not to get my expectations too high but the song doesn't disappoint, it is definitely my favourite song on the album. You and I - 6/10 - I am really not a big fan of ballad songs, i prefer faster songs and it's really not a bad song at all, it is pretty good but definitely the weakest on the album for me. The Edge of Glory - 8/10 - I really really liked this song when it first got released but it really isn't as good as the best on the album but i do prefer the slower version she did on radio 1's big weekend, still better than the majority of things in the charts nowadays. Overall, this album is definitely one of my favourite albums this year

From what we've heard so far Born this way and 21 are the best album's this year. Though it'll take a lot for 21 to be topped yet for me. It's still early days for Born this way for me. But i do love Bloody Mary, Scheibe, Bad kids, Marry the night, Edge of Glory, Judas and Heavy metal lover are my faves.
