My HMV order has dispatched too. Hopefully I get it on Friday!

I haven't actually listened to the album yet, apart from the four singles/promo singles. I'm too busy for today and tomorrow, but on Friday I'll be able to get at least an hour to myself to listen to it properly for the first time.

Lots of reviews coming in and some nice positive ones!

NME:

Gaga doesn’t know when to hold back – and it’s a damn good thing

Guardian:

Lady Gaga's relentless, shameless, sledgehammer pop nearly always hits the spot

Lol @ the condescending comments on those article.

I bet none of them have even listened to anything beyond the odd single.

Bad Kids is a much better outcast song than the title single in my opinion! I love the glam punky style of the beats!

Bloody Mary was lovely

Haha, the comments on the Guardian are so pretentious. Their pressed is showing!

Quote:
“Vapid consumer existentialism for the ADHD generation. Judas has got a good verse, but really- it's all so wilfully predictable, so played-out, is time really moving anymore? Or is everything already the simulacra? The Empire Never Ended.”

Aw, bless. Such effort should be encouraged! Slain.

The Guardian comments are always ranting about the evil Gaga's capitalist domination of pop music, lol! The frothing at the mouth outrage is pretty hilarious.

I'm going to wait until the album is ready to listen to on grooveshark before deciding whether to buy it or not. I've not been overly keen on the singles, particularly Judas.

Shiesse is RedOnes masterpiece by the way!

it sounds like it could have been a reflection of the Erotica album! the House production that i love so dearly! the kinda slick and similar husky vocals too (i love talky singy when done correctly)

yeah Bad Kids is a good one methinks.

Unicorn is on now.

Don't even bother with the Guardian comments. They never fail to make me laugh out loud. If anyone wants a guide on how to be an indie music snob, just study their comments. They don't give a stuff about the music itself - all they care about is who it's by, the genre, and whether they think it's cool to like it or bash it.

I wonder how the singles will play out for this era

Born This Way
Judas
The Edge of Glory

(obviously these are confirmed)

then I'm thinking

Marry the Night
Hair
Americano

but SheiBe with a clean remix could become a single and then maybe Highway Unicorn

i was worried about You And I but damn i love the Rock N Roll....could she be referencing her Drag friends??? love it!!!

so yeah i love or like all of the songs here at the very least....very good on ya Metro!

now will wait, hope it has been dispatched from Play

But yeah she has really reached her top of her top here with this album! I mean seriously it melds all of what i love!

It has fantastic Madonna allusions and references artistically, some very Warhol/Velvet Underground/Nico references, Some 90s Club/House meets contemporary Trance. It feels like you listen to this massive musical tribute to all that is right with the world!

so far Friendly Fires Pala i can state is my album of 2011 with TN&F right behind.

But must say Born This Way has surprised, shocked and moved me somewhat! i really like it.

Will do my amazon review next week after a few more blasts when i own it

Whether she tops it or not in the future remains to be seen, but Born This Way i feel is her at her artistic height musically/vocally/influenced.

P!nk is the Pop Rock artist of the generation, Lady gaga is the Pop Metal artist of the generation methinks

I noticed that the deluxe just has some remixes so if I like the album I'll only buy the standard version. I'm not a big fan of remixes

It also has 3 new songs. "Black Jesus + Amen Fashon", "The Queen" and "Fashion of His Love".
