Has anyone got an axolotyl?

Not got any myself, but look after a few at work. They are pretty boring tbh. They don't need land areas, as pulling themselves out of the water is too energy expensive for them (they tend to live in areas where the water level changes around them.

They are also social so getting one would be a bit cruel..

My friend has one, it likes eating prawns. That's about all I know. Oh yeah, don't put gravel in its tank as they try to eat it and it blocks their gut.

In my experience they do very well one to a tank tbh

They are social but only in massive expances of water , as I understand. In a small /medium tank two of them would / may end up biting lumps of each other.
