iPlayer 3.2.6 Windows upgrade broke my iPlayer

Per the title.

Running 3.2.3 fine with no issues. Upgraded to 3.2.6 a couple of days ago and despite uninstalling (Air + iPlayer) and reinstalling several times, it is knackered.

It will not download the desktop versions of programmes. When I select a programme for download, the desktop app flashes away as if the website does connect with the app, but the app doesn't have any downloads to show.

I am baffled ... having also disabled AV and added iPlayer as a firewall exception too.

Anyone else run into this in the past? and did you find a solution?

if you cant fix a computer problem what makes you think you can fix the country

Try googling clean install of BBC iplayer and doing that (one of the results should be a BBC iPlayer help page).

Thanks, but I had dug around and done reinstall repeatedly. I couldn't see anything else from BBC to help.

Seems like I finally cracked it though when I realised that the uninstall did not clear down the old repository.

I changed the default location within the preferences and the app rebuilt it and now I am starting to get downloads.

Now sorted (so far).

Now to get back to running the country
