Looks like Edna's going to become the token mysteriously overrated DS messiah.

I'm getting a potential winner's edit vibe from Jim and Susan.
Edna might bring the dramz. Not in a Debra/Claire way but in a more sneaky Katie/Jenny way. |

Jim was the star of the first eppy for me. I'm quite happy with my accent and charm levels - but I wouldn't mind swapping for his.
However, I think he may ultimately be too nice to win. Anyway, the winner is hardly ever anyone that stands out in the from the start.

AntoniaA, you should put your spoiler about who gets fired into spoiler quotes if you can, or if its too late, alert the mods to do it for you. We don't talk about things we know happen in episodes that haven't been broadcast yet.

I really like Susan. I liked her little comment to the camera over how confused she was about all the praise for Melody....
![]() Also, Leon seems quite cute

Too early for me to predict a winner but I think Edna, Melody, Susan, Tom and Vincent all stood out in this first show (for different reasons).
Tom intrigues me, mainly because he is an inventor and so I hope this means he'll have some great ideas to put forward when it comes to creating a product(s) and the way in which they can be sold. Vanity isn't an attractive quality but I think with Vincent it will just come across as very amusing, and, maybe just become as bewildering as Melody's accent ha. Will be interesting to see the other candiates who made little impression in this first episode gain a voice and apply their skills. |

Jim at the mo but, what normally happens is those who impress early on fade off, & end up being sacked mid series.

Latest Apprentice odds - bet at Paddypower
Zoe Beresford 13/2 Jim Eastwood 15/2 Glenn Ward 10/1 Helen Louise Milligan 10/1 Ellie Reed 12/1 Leon Doyle 12/1 Gavin Winstanley 12/1 Edward Hunter 14/1 Considering the candidates themselves and most likely many others know already who the winners are or at least the last two, how is it possible to make a book on it. |

I like Vincent and Susan, but I can see both becoming annoying if they last long.

Can't see the audition video's where I live, but from the first episode Jim, Gavin and Susan stand out for me.
Curious about Tom and also curious about Ellie, she could be a dark horse. |

Thomas - The Inventor.
He reminds me of a male version of Lucinda. I predict he will drive the others nuts. |

Leon, Melody and the girl with the skincare range(can't remember her name) look like interesting characters to me.

The Gavin & Jim Show
I am loving these two they are my early favourites .
Don't like Melody the girls Team Leader, she is too up herself as we say in Manchester ! Does she really know the Dali Lama and Desmond TUTU !! Who else will she claim to have met!!Not too sure about Edna, I have a feeling she will stab one of her team mates in the back before too long. Edward had to go !! He is not in Stuart Baggs (THE BRAND). League.

Zoe's the fave?
Was she even there in the first episode, I can't quite picture her being there. Same goes for Natasha (although I actually had a dream that the girls lost the next task and Natasha was fired, wtf how sad, dreaming about the apprentice )My faves now are: Gavin - soooooo pleased he's more like the dark, moody, smart and level-headed guy in his picture than the annoying blabbermouth in his video. Susan - she seems to be able to speak up for herself and fight her own corner. I also like Jim, Leon, Glenn and Melody (lol most condescending voice I've ever heard) I thought Ellie would be a bit more ballsy, but she seemed a bit out of place and like she couldn't really give a toss. Helen was exactly how I thought she would be, very prim and proper, and did her absolute best to hide her incredibly tight-lipped frustration when none of her ideas were used. Edna was far too negative for my liking, whereas Tom and Felicity look like they are aiming to be the teacher's pets. |
