i never want Amy to leave

Amy, Rory and RIver really are the standard setters for me.

Donna was fun, Martha and Rose were a bit naff IMO. kinda overbearing. And i love Capt Jack.

But the chemistry between Matt, Karen, Arthur and Alex is just fantastic...i mean seriously the best cast team up since Tom and Lis IMO! phenomenal!

Personally, would love Canton to be back! And in the future an unknown and upcoming actor would be much better IMO. It worked for the current cast

Must agree here! Dr 11, Amy, Rory and River are the BEST team yet A good mixture of characters. The married couple plus the 'unknown' likely couple

Which explains the numerous awards for best actress she's won over the years.

I just been watching all the Blackadders, I'd love to see her in Doctor Who! She was great as Queenie in Series 2 but it was as Highway(wo)man in the Series 3 as the Squirrel killer that was my fave. I think she could bring a certain comic touch to the Companion's role.

Also think another unknown would do just as nicely and also either of the two main girl characters from Misfits would be great as well. (Sorry, terrible with names!)

Yeah the chemistry, the way they act off each other. I will genuinely miss them when they leave unlike what i have in the past really.

It is also the intrigue, the secrets, the writing. The actors are so perfect with their roles and have really brought their own to the show!

That is what makes it interesting HOW the cast change will change the progression of the show etc. How will Mat act alongside etc. How they play off each other. Fantastic!

“It just seems to me you're judging her on one solitary performance away from Eastenders. I think you need to see her in others things and then judge it. If she continues to play Staceyesque roles your point will become more valid but if she doesn't it means you're jumping the gun. ”

“She played Frankenstein's wife really well in Frankenstein's Wedding too, and she is different to Stacey.”

I saw her in the Frankenstein's Wedding: Live in Leeds thing... I can't say I rated her characterisation skills that much, to be honest.

(Of all the things to use my first post on, I choose this! <.<)

As for who I'd like to see in the role of a new companion, it's difficult to say. I think I'd prefer a relative unknown, like Freema and Karen were (I think?) before they came to the show. That way, nobody has any preconceptions about their acting ability, and they don't get compared to other characters they've played.

If only Sheridan Smith hadn't already been a companion to the 8th doctor! She would be perfect!”

Agree on both points
