What are you all expecting?!
Thread after thread after thread of how bad the talent is this year. What do you expect?!
It is a TV show. What else do you want? You say there is no talent on the show, well OK then, if an act were to come out in the next episode and make you say 'WOW! That's talent!' what would it have to be? |

I want something a bit more like all the other years it's been on. Normally there's a a good five or six acts that I LOVE and a lot more that are worthy of being in the live shows. This year I've hardly even liked any of them, let alone wanted them to win.
What would an act have to be? Well, I'm not fussy. They just have to actually be talented and a lot better than what we're getting at the moment. |

Both good examples on YouTube posted above. I also like this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bi5__EOhbkU But you see, we don't get this in Britain. We get old gits who copy YouTube videos, dogs jumping over barrels and middle-aged scraggy toliet cleaners who do dancing that would be embarrassing at an Over '50s disco club, let alone on National TV. |

Talent.. I would have been well impressed with the balancing lady on the earth globe today.. Had the globe not been supported so it couldn't move. That would have been talented.

This is the reason the show is SO dire! Honestly, it's f*cking terrible! The only 'real' talent was that guy from France who danced amazingly well and deserved to go through but he's not even from Great Britain! 1st quarter hour - those stripper girls. Pretty good to be put through but seen it before. 2nd quarter hour - dog lady. Dreadful! Should never have been put through. Dancer boy - great talent for his age but nothing special. 3rd quarter hour - fat bloke who sang like a woman. Dreadful. Should never have been put through. Toast boy - definetely unique but not a chance in hell of winning. Should never have been put through. 4th quarter - Singing boys. Not in tune, can't sing very well. Should never have been put through. French dancer - only real talent in tonight's show and fully deserved 3 yes's. So that's 7 in one hour and one clear potential winner out the lot and that's the dancer (but not from Britain!), so why is the show called Britain's Got Talent?! A complete piss-take! The show is going down the pan. I think the producers know they have talented contestants but are deliberately showing us shite. |

But what is your idea of talented? Maybe I'm to easy to impress but I'd say the likes of Ronan and the French Dancer are talented.

We want to see more talent. I don't think I've seen a year as bad as this, in terms of lack of talent and we're four weeks in. If you look back over the years we have been treated to, Paul Potts, Susan Boyle, Aidan Davis, Diversity, George Sampson etc... and I have not seen someone in this category yet.
By that I mean a 'wow' act. There is stil time to prove me wrong but currently the semi-final show is going to be pathetic. Of the top of my head, the only act I have warmed to is Ronan and even he would have looked quite average in comparison to previous years. |

I haven't been making threads about how dire the acts are or posting in them either; I stopped watching after the second show. But even leaving aside the standout acts you mention from previous series, where are the Tobias Meads and Stavros Flatleys this year? Tobias was in the first broadcast of the last series and went on to the semi-finals. IMO there was not a single act in the first two shows this year that deserves to go that far based on what was shown. And acts like the bell ringers were so dreadful that they should have been buzzed off before they finished— not put through with three yeses! |

Last year had brilliant acts of things we've seen before like Tobias Mead and Spellbound but the WOW moment was definately The Regurgitator. I've never seen anything like it.
I'd like something like that that i have never seen before. |

My problem is too much time is being wasted on the people who are just crap and being put through just to be mocked and humiliated by Simon and the audience in the semi final
And jeez is some crap getting through at the moment, makes you wonder what decent talent they said no to in the producer auditions 1st quarter hour - Stripper girls. Not very original so thumbs down 2nd quarter hour - Dog lady. Mad as a box of frogs lady and an aged unfriendly poodle which came perilously close to taking a nip out of Ant. Thumbs down. Dancer boy - Could be better if not for the pushy mum who has not let him live the life he wants, because she has entered him on Got to Dance and Billy Elliot already and how many more shows to come if he doesn't win this show. Thumbs in the middle for the time being 3rd quarter hour - Bloke who sang like Orville. Thumbs down. Toast boy - One trick pony. Thumbs down 4th quarter - Jackson 4, the have you got another song routine is wearing a bit thin now. Thumbs down French guy - Not bad, but got to come up with something spectacular if he is to challenge the likes of Ronan. Thumbs in the middle for now |

Personally, I'd like to see more musicians; something like Escala.
Too many dancers, body poppers etc are ruining the "variety". Just look at the winners - the first year it was a singer, but since then, it's been the same old same old "how many ways can I move my body" rubbish. |

Thumbs in the middle for now Strippers- Meh Dog act - USELESS Dancing boy - Totally agree about the pushy mum, you can tell he'd been instructed to play the "autism card" to cut some slack for his average dancing. Thumbs down from me, didn't think he was that good at all. High Pitched Singer - Ripped his act off from season 2 of Benidorm. Toast Boy - Can see him getting to the Live shows and doing a picture of Simon made out of nutella. Act just doesn't work really, as 95% of his "art" needs to be done before he gets on stage as it would take well over the alloted time to construct then assemble. So basically all he's doing for his act is completing a jigsaw on stage. Wannabe Jackson 4 - Awful. "have you got another song" act is becoming hugely tiresome. French Dancer - Brilliant but it's BRITAIN'S got talent. You should at least be resident in this country. |

I Don't think the Talent has been that bad this Year. Yeah not the best year ever but all you need is 10 good Acts in the final which they will Have. Also i think this year the Focus has been more about the Judges then the Talent. Maybe Next year when the Judges have got Settled the Talent will get better.

The thing is a lot of people when George Sampson won said: "meh, he wasn't good enough for last years semi finals, hes rubbish" etc.
Susan Boyle: "there are plenty of pther church singers who is just as talented as she is." And yes those ARE real critisms of those two acts I read! So its easy to go through a list, and say well this proves everyone is rubbish. But I would not agree with that conclusion. |
