X Factor Five: Replay - LIVE SHOW SIX RESULTS
Earlier tonight, the remaining nine Replay acts performed songs by Brit Award 2011 nominees, and while some impressed, some failed to.
But, before the lines opened, there was a twist. Each mentor, at random, chose a currently competing act, unaware of what it was for. They chose SUZIE FURLONGER, LIAM PAYNE, RACHEL HYLTON and HANNAH BRADBEER - and these were all revealed to be safe. Now, five are in danger, and only four are safe. Here's your final nine! Robbieg413 and the Girls; Amy Connelly AND Diana Vickers! Gav016 and the Boys; Austin Drage AND Liam Payne! Satanel and the Groups; Girlband AND Hannah Bradbeer! And... Batman and the Over-28s; Suzie Furlonger Rachel Hylton AND Ruth Lorenzo! In danger: Amy Connelly Diana Vickers Austin Drage Girlband Ruth Lorenzo The first two acts, safe, are... |

GIRLBAND
A huge congratulations to Girlband and Zak - who have also made it through! And then, there were two. Out of five acts, Ruth Lorenzo and Austin Drage have been ranked the lowest, and must sing again. Austin shall perform first, and the rota is: Seth. Gav. Zak. Robbie. Please post your sing-off songs and comments without prompt. Best of luck to both acts and their respective mentors. |

Wow, this is gonna be tough. I really liked Ruth tonight.
Anyway, my pick for sing off tonight is by Pixie Lott. I think it'll really work with Austin's voice quite nicely. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LVnvikQpEig |

(sorry!)
Well, this is an easy decision for me. Ruth, that sing-off, and your main song were both utterly stunning and the fact that you have found yourself here is a complete travesty. You are arguably one of the best singers in the competition at this moment, as the sheer power you have in your voice is incredible. You also manage to put across the emotions of songs so, so well. Like I said, that sing-off was truly beautiful Ruth. Austin, you have a great voice and you were my favourite of the boys tonight, so it is a shame that you have found yourself here. I think you have been a really good contestant throughout the show, but Ruth is my act and ultimately who I think is the better act out of you two - I am going to send home Austin. |

It's fine Seth, I realise that you're hosting Absolute too and it's hard to juggle between shows
![]() One vote to send home Austin - what about you, Gav?

Sorry, connection froze.
Okay, I like Ruth, so I'm a bit gutted to be in a sing off against her, that sing-off choice was absoultely amazing too, but obviously I'm going to stick with my own act and send home Ruth. |

Let me start off by saying the ‘twist’ has really done a number on us all. In all honesty, I feel two out of the four acts that made it through (because of the twist) perhaps were the two most vulnerable tonight and therefore were rather lucky to make it through, which I guess is a good opportunity for one of those acts as it really gives them a second chance after this perhaps ‘blip’ in the competition – everybody deserves a second chance, right? … or is that second chance perhaps the sing-off? I’m not sure, but here we go.
I thought both acts in the bottom two didn’t give the worst performances of the night, I’m not sure they both did the best they’ve ever done either – speaking from our viewers comments, and not just my own – but I don’t feel the deserve to be in this position. Speaking from the actual show (this show), I did think Ruth was the stronger performer and therefore particularly shocked she’s in this position, though I did not think Austin performed badly either, at any standard. I’m not sure whether either of these acts have been in the bottom before, I don’t think they have, but just in case, I’m not going to involve that factor in this decision. I think throughout the competition, Ruth has been the most consistant and managed to give the better, more consistant performances. I do believe when Austin was good, he was really good though… I’m not sure we can rely on his consistency however. Gav has been very, very strong with his other act since he took over, but I’m not sure Austin is his type of person to mentor. That being said, I am a man who tends to vote based on the sing off (but this does not counter-act other factors either), so here we go. The sing off for Austin was possibly the best performance I have ever seen him perform across all of these shows, it really showed off Austin’s key factor, his vocals, and not his ‘personality’ so many other mentors focus on. And obviously, Ruth’s was also a very, very strong performance. Alanis Morrisette is a fantastic choice for her, really lets her show off both personality and vocals. I think I’ve made a decision. I think after counting up all the individual factors, Ruth has been the most consistant performer and the stronger performer – and therefore the better act. The twist was very unfortunate on Ruth tonight, however I do feel Austin excelled in his sing off performance of his standards and not overall standards, and that is where my decision takes place. I feel one act, is just overall, prepared to stay and still has a massive chance of winning the competition. And that decision is: ‘The act I’m sending home tonight is, regrettably, Austin Drage. I’m very sorry Gav, the sing-off performance was truly something,. |

Just because you each have your spat, he'll make his decision purely based on what he thinks.

Thanks for the nice comments about Austin's song.
Ruth's sing off really was incredible tonight though, so I'm not holding out too much hope. Seth picked a good'un. |
