Lost/Loosing the TARDIS!
Gin&Tonic

He lost it last night, and looses it again next week.

Is this a new pattern (or just convenient plot device for the writers!)

Hmmm!

It's a story device. Happened with regularity in Old-Who.

I don't mind it too much really, it means that he has to use other means to get out of the situation.

Anyway, this week it 'got lost', next week it gets 'taken over'

I'd actually like the TARDIS to be lost for a few episodes... Would be interesting

Much like 'The Eleventh Hour' where he had to save the world with some kettle and some string...oops, wrong Doctor. But I know what you're getting at. Exile him again? Have him run out of power (when was the last time he recharged in Cardiff?).

I'd rather not go back to the yawn-fest of the 3rd Doctor UNIT years. After all, people on here were complaiing back in 2005 that the Doctor hadn't visited enough alien planets!

I mean more like the Ark in Space thought to the Cyberman episode where he travelled by other means

Or what some of us regard as the best era of the show. The Doc, Jo, the Brig, Benton, Bessie - twas never better in my eyes. And Pertwee was the perfect combination of Holmes and Bond, arrogance and compassion, negotiator and fighter. He was MY Doctor. I know others disagree and have other favourite eras, but can we have some respect for others' opinions, please? God knows, I have issues with the current show runner (although I'm enjoying this year's run so far more than last), but I'm not sure I'd ever loftily dismiss it as "a yawn-fest".

It worked well with Pertwee, but I don't think it would work too well with Matt Smith.
