That is not the impression that you are giving. At least perhaps you do know what you are doing but it has very little to do with enjoying AV entertainment.

As I said and will repeat What's up humax in other words I am looking for someone from humax to reply.
Emailing them was fruitless better to get them on the forum.
When was the last time a Humax employee posted here?

And, more to the point, when was the last time that a Humax employee posted here and told us something we didn't know?

Not sure what you mean, the firmware is stored in non volatile RAM in the hdr. You put it there by transferring it from a usb pen drive as per the instructions.

some new widgets , youtube and anything else they can do to make it more like a media centre.
They have said not to expect any new features on the current box, only bug fixes, so you're out of luck.
