Wait a sec, Amy hasn't died at all. The Doctor did say she was dead but then when younger Doctor put her into the Pandorica he explained that she was almost dead but not quite dead and the prison would stasus her that way until the box got a sample of her living DNA so therefore she has never died. Really should have remembered that sooner! :/

"My 7 year old son summed it up on Saturday when he blurted out "OMG they killed Rory", which made me laugh as he has never seen South Park, just heard the phrase."

You know you have a problem when a 7-year-old notices! Even if, in reality, this plot device hasn't been used that much, it feels like it. When Rory fell into the water in "Black Spot," I instantly thought, "How are they going to bring him back to life this time?"

I complained about this in another thread- more specifically about 'Amy is mean to Rory- but look! She'd miss him if he were dead!' angle they keep pushing. I hope to God it's important to the plot, because otherwise it's the new 'Rose would know how' from 10 for me.

Oh God, does this mean there's a chance of Adric coming back?

I agree. At this point for me it's deju-vu ad nauseam.
There's also been too many 'outsider's wonderment at the inside of the Tardis' moments. They used to be special, now they're two-a-penny.
Throw in another Timelord that's still alive and more Daleks and I'll just be hanging on by the tips of my fingernails.
Amy and River are killing the show for me, but I'll bide my time until they both bugger off.

There is the pregnant / not pregnant - what if it's Amy / not Amy?

Spoiler tags.

Now that might explain why he had a badge with 1990 on it, or hang on a minute. It wouldn't explain that at all..

Technically Rory was not dead, as such ... it's not really a recurring plot device, is it. He was in peril like Sarah Jane was yesterday in the quarry. Anyway, maybe his return from the not quie undead is a hint (e.g., Amy had stopped the CPR and only thought he was dead, which means he is the Bad Wolf, the 13th doctor, his own father, Amy's child or is still a plastic nestene who can't die. You heard it here first (actually you haven't heard it here first, as I'm sure all of these theories have been postulated somewhere).
