Panasonic Camera

I have a Panasonic DMC FX30 camera.
I have been successfully uploading the photos using Lumix software supplied.
Now when I press "Acquire to PC" it comes up with "There is no picture to be acquired".
I have changed SD memory cards (3 times) taken photos and tried to acquire but same message.
I have removed and re-installed "Lumix Simple Viewer" and "Photofun Studio Viewer".
I was trying get the camera to 'datestamp' so I may have altered a setting on the camera itself by mistake.
Can you help me to get the photos from my camera to my computer and tell me how to get the camera to always datestamp.

Is it really worth messing about with these bits of software? You can just plug in your camera (select PC if the camera gives you an option, as my Panasonic does), go to My Computer, and the camera will be there as an external device. Then just copy the pictures you want, create a destination folder and paste them in.

Regarding the timestamp, do you definitely want it on all your pictures? It can be a bit annoying if you want to print them without cropping. The date will automatically be stored in the EXIF data, which can be accessed by right clicking a picture and selecting Properties.

Sorry I haven't really answered your questions.

Dear IslandNiles
I do prefer to get the Lumix software working properly again.
But I thought I should try it your way. I connect the camers via the lead (supplied) to the computer, viewed 'My Computer and switched on the camera. This did not produce an icon so I refreshed MyComp but still no icon, so I could not 'drag&drop' as you suggested.
I await any further help you can furnish. Jabaroo
